Tour Stealth version 2 drivers - 2022 John Deere Classic

Looks like the original Stealth driver had Stealth on the crown down near the heel and the "new" version Stealth no longer has that on the crown.  The rumor is it is designed to sit a little flatter and may have originally been made for Collin Morikowa.  That has not been confirmed yet but waiting for more info from Taylor-Made headquarters. A few of the Players who had the new version are Adam Long, Dylan Wu, Harry Higgs.  

 

As we get more info we will update this thread.

We made a mistake and there is stealth shown on the crown. Explanation of why there is version two are a few posts down.

I think the difference on v2 is no "t" logo now that I read the USGA description differences.

correct, as one of them is an 8*, which is ver 1 only.

I don’t think this is the replacement for Stealth. Just another version that’ll stay tour only, like Callaway has. A flatter lie angle may be introduced into next gen but we’re still some months away from those.

Yeah that's the confusing bit. OP says no "Stealth" on the crown, which is inherently extremely hard to see regardless but is present on all the photos, but the USGA page implies no "T" logo, which all the players listed (Higgs and Long, Wu is a Titleist guy so i'm not sure what that is about) have drivers in play with the "T" logo on them. Definitely need more info from TM on that one.

The flatter lie angle bit makes sense because the Stealth+ sits extremely upright compared to the other models, almost distractingly so IMO.

Ok… found out from the source. The version two is something TM had to do for USGA conformance when you order a MyStealth without the T-bug on the crown. They are the same other than that according to TaylorMade.

This is exactly why I just went to the 9* Stealth vs the 10.5* in the 1 click lower setting.   Have a 4 gram front track weight and a 12.7 gram in the back which should get launch close to the 9.75* setting of the 10.5* without the more upright lie angle and maybe a touch more MOI.

correct. The photo above shows 9* for the MyStealth version. In the lengthy TM 2022 driver thread, a TaylorMade rep responded with this update because they had to take down the MyStealth no-logo option temporarily while they submitted for USGA approval. Came back as an available option some weeks later.

a flatter lie angle would be great.. The one draw back of the stealth is that is sits pretty upright. So far for me that has not equaled left balls but visually it is pretty upright. But, looks like it is really nothing different.

Like what Cobra did with the OG LTD reg/pro versions.
