This chart makes the most sense:

As did match play, this tournament is lacking some star power due to scheduling.

I appreciate the rookie team of Hye Jin Choi and Na Rin An.

Stacy or Fassi should have partnered with Emma Talley. Stacy for Solheim Cup motivation. Fassi because they are two of the friendliest players on tour. I haven't seen Fassi on air much recently, I could imagine some players may be apprehensive to team up with her. Where's Gaby Lopez? She and Fassi are due to team up.

Matilda Castren and Kelly Tan look to be genuinely good buddies & might surprise folks this week (both can be birdie machines, on their day)

So Matilda is Kelly's Maid of Honor? Who knew? If Judy was still in the booth we probably would know how that came to be. Let's see if Morgan gives us this behind the scenes info this week.

@AWinfortheAges I thought i saw somewhere that Maria Fassi credited a recent partnership with Stacey Lewis in a similar team event, for an improvement/ turnaround in Fassi's subsequent solo performances
(sorry i can't find that write-up ... might've been on the forum e.g. one of those insights from @18majors or @kbong?)

@Rapidcat Now i see why you like Leona Maguire ... likes a bit of banter & quite sassy!

Karen Stupples (a global authority on good comedy..ha ha) was Leona's pod captain (aargh I hate pods) at the Solheim and said that she had a cracking (or craicing?) sense of humor.

As she is getting more comfortable at the elite level, you will see more of her personality emerge.

Will be a future Solheim cup captain.

Also remember I said last year when Patty T ('s management) stuffed up her visa approval when she was partnered with Leona hence the pair had to withdraw that you won't see Leona paired with Patty in the future? So far I am correct🙂

Mel and Leona should be a fun pair:

Are they playing alternate shot in the opening round? Awful high scores for the first groups out.

Hmmm. I don't think I've ever seen a drive that starts out as a fade, but changes its mind mid-flight and decides to draw. Lol. That would really come in handy with a right to left sweeper that has a big tree on the right side of the teebox.

Impressive opening round by Annika and Madelene, and Pauline and Dewi. Tough format, or so they say. I don't see why alternate shot is so hard for a professional. Step up to the ball and hit it, just like you've done 10,000 times before. I think it's more on the mental side in worrying about not putting your teammate in a pickle, as opposed to not having hit a shot in the last two minutes.

After 2+ weeks of no LPGA, it's nice to see them back on the course even if many of the top players are taking the week off.

Why is she now just Roussin? Used to be Roussin-Bouchard, correct? Can't find anything on it.

Just her twitter handle, when I click through is says Pauline Roussin-Bouchard.   Whoever runs the LPGA account probably messed up.
