Other than Nasa and Hyo Joo, scores today are way down. Looks like In Gee's scoring record may be safe.

can any eagle-eyed observers identify Nasa Hataoka's driver from this photo?

To my eyes, it doesn't look like a Srixon ... more like XXIO? (with a Red Ventus velocore) ... albeit i guess they are part of the same group of Srixon/Dunlop companies?

This WITB Link (24 April 2022) mentions Nasa Hataoka's driver = "Srixon Z 785 (9.5°, Miyazaki Kaula Kiri 6S shaft)":

 https://www.nationalclubgolfer.com/news/nasa-hataoka-witb/

But!! This Srixon Malaysia FB WITB (26 April 2022) = mentions "Nasa Hataoka captured her 6th win on LPGA Tour. WITB: XXIO eks2 driver, SRIXON Z-STAR XV7 ball, ZX FW and ZX HB. #teamsrixon"

I game a Srixon Z 785 driver and that picture above is certainly not of that.

Gotta be a XXIO

What do you get for winning the LET order of merit or whatever it is called, Linn Grant looks good next to everybody she's just gotta play regularly to get into the mix.

She's exempted into 2022 LPGA Q-Series.

Or is the fact she hasn't played an LPGA event this  season give her terrible status and she couldn't get in most events anyways?

She hasn't played a single LPGA tournament this season; she's priority #178.  She'd lose her LPGA status after this season.

It looks like a player winning the LET Order of Merit will qualify for Chevron, Evian and Women's Open in term of majors.

Ha ha, well I disappeared abruptly cause the Friday night of the KPMG my modem blew up and then I was away for a week and I basically got a service guy out last week to fix it and they didn't show any of the last week on TV so what was there to say .  I only use my computer to chat online lol

And I thought it was because you relied on Rogers 😉   Welcome back Stooch.

Yep. I saw Lydia’s tough hole where she dropped 2 shots. That hurts.

Anyone else think this coverage is terrible? On Peacock ads are flying in left and right and interrupting coverage at horrible times.

Titleist TSR3 9* - Tour AD UB 6x - Titleist TSR3 16.5* - Tour AD DI  7x

Miura TC-201 4-PW Modus 120x - Callaway Jaws Raw 52/58 Modus 125x

So much for no low scoring. Heck of a round by Brooke.

Lydia sure made a mess of the 16th and 18th.

Rose playing solidly.

J Korda bogeys last 3 holes to miss the cut.

Sophia Schubert sitting T5. Might be the first time all year we get to view her on TV.

Just saw her listed on 1st page of leaderboard with American Flag next to her name and wondered who the heck this is.  Not much in her bio except for her U.S. Am win over Albane.  Is this a fluke or has she been ready to break out at some point?

People debated about whether Amundi is worthy of a Major; but can't complain about the purse nor the leaderboard:

Brooke

Nelly

Sei Young

So Yeon

Enough said!

Look at the back end of the draw, sure if you're playing good you can go low but if you're hitting it out of position the course will eat you up.

I think like many course's that host Majors, I think it would play better with a stiff breeze but we can't control the weather yet

The leaderboard reminds me of 2020 Chevron when Brooke and Nelly went into the playoff but lost to a red hot Mirim Lee.

Who'll be "Mirim Lee" come Sunday?

\DO NOT SAY THAT! 🤣   I was thinking the same thing looking at the leaderboard and that if Brooke and Nelly had not been so focused on each other that Sunday, then one of them would have had a second major going into the weekend here!

She is a good ball striker as evident by birdies on all par 5s today. Did well on Epson Tour last yeae+ Q school, kind of a "late bloomer" but the whole COVID fiasco delayed her ascension to the big tour.  Hovering around the top 100 this year but a nice finish should propel her to safety. And she is cute too!

Her, Corpuz, Gina Kim and Amanda Doherty should stick around amongst the American rookie class. Katlyn Papp hasn't done much in her limited starts, she will likely be back to the Epson Tour, fellow Longhorn alum like Sophia.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
