River Hall - Any Experiences?

Hi All.

 

Moving to the Ft Meyers area and will be looking at River Hall.

 

If anyone here has reviews or feedback on the course, staff, etc. it would be greatly appreciated.

Played it once. Not a bad layout.

Nothing great. Wide open. Better golf courses nearby. My opinion Go play Babcock National or Heritage Landings close by.

Big fan of River Hall. Very understated but solid golf hole after solid golf hole. Way better than the vast majority of modern Florida residential golf. The par 5 13th hole is a little tight for my tastes but other than that there's plenty of room to play. An excellent example of why Davis Love III's group are very underrated among golf course architects.

 

It's a couple of hours from me but I hope to play it again soon.

Also a fan of River Hall. Nice practice facility, open and scorable layout without being boring. They occasionally offer a post round beer priced at whatever score you shot too!

 

FWIW, also enjoy Babcock National and Heritage Landing as well.

I'm a big fan of River Hall all around, but I think it will be private soon.  Same for Babcock and HL as mentioned above.  If you want to join any of these, I think it makes sense to buy in one of the communities.  Unfortunately, my work is too far south for any of the three.

I agree that Babcock National is better than River Hall. River Hall wasn't bad though especially for the price.
