Yeah, it's about as good as it's going to get.

Of course, I'm in Canada this week, so my chances of actually seeing any coverage are probably slim. Fingers crossed.

It's on golf channel in Canada, if you can get Canadian cable providers.  If not let me know, cause it's on the USA Network and there are websites that allows us to view channels we don't have access here in Canada like ESPN.

@North Texas: That "Final List" included Sophia Schubert.
You needed to click the Link, because the tweet as shown = truncates the bottom-three names

i.e. below Lizette Salas ... Yuka Saso, Sarah Schmelzel, and Sophia Schubert's names= hidden?

(until you click the Link & get to view the full List ... as shown below ).

Ah, I see that now. Guess I was just too lazy to click on it 😎

Thanks.

I've been in Inverness, Nova Scotia since Sunday. I played Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links on Monday, and drove up to Cape Breton Highlands Links yesterday. I'll be heading to Halifax tomorrow for 3 days, and then it's back south to central Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. August is the start of my 9th month on the road.

Is it lobster season there?  If so, you might find some really great places along the way from Halifax to Maine, etc.

And thoughts on Cabot Cliffs & Links??   How do you like it compared to Bandon Dunes?

Yeah, it's lobster season. I've had a couple of tasty lobster rolls in the past few weeks.

Cliffs was wonderful, but I think Pacific Dunes is ahead of it on my list. Links probably rates in the #25 spot.

Facility wise there's no comparison. Bandon is fully built out with five championship courses and lodging. Cabot is still building lodges and a restaurant at the Cliffs. The facilities at Links are small, as it's right in town (Inverness).

I posted my reviews and photos in my travel log:

A few gems that part of the Country and BC has some nice ones as well.  Ontario depends on the chunk of land but it's tough to do anything with pines tree and Cambrian Shield lol

Don't forget the Banff and Jasper areas. Banff Springs and Jasper Park Lodge are Top 100 courses.

I'm going to go out on a limb and go with Madelene Sagstrom.

(Edit: If nothing else, I would think she'll at least enjoy her first 2 rounds playing with Megan Khang and A Lim Kim.)

It's going to be super hot here in Halifax for the next few days. I'm playing Glen Arbour tomorrow. Have a great visit to my city.

The Scottish accent/brogue of these presenters = very ASMR-ish to my ears!

For folks more familiar with the Scottish accents (i'm no expert!)... is the Glasgow/Glaswegian accent = distinctly different vs the Edinburgh-area accent?

(i think Iona's accent = Edinburgh/St Andrews area ...

vs Jenny Drummond's, who comes from Glasgow area?)

I'm going with Lydia this week as she's in good form (and her focus will be on point). 🤞 Can't believe I'm putting this in writing but dark horse is Alison Lee. Also looking for a better showing from Linn Grant.

I think a big name will win.  Not entirely sure, I guess will stick with my Lydia Ko hope/pick (almost struck gold with SYR).

If you don't follow Eric Anders Lang's Random Golf Club series on Youtube, he gets groups of various handicaps together to play before the major events.  His first two videos for Muirfield were published yesterday and today.  Lots of fly-over coverage, great narration about the course etc.  Eric does a great job with this series, imo.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3 of EAL's Muirfield series = dropped overnight.
(thanks @subrew for highlighting Parts 1 and 2.)

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
