In Gee's game seems to have peaked at the right time this season. Hopefully she can put together a couple of decent rounds this weekend. A year with two majors would send me to the ICU. Lol.

Minjee is the only one playing good this season in the top 3 anyways

Lyds has been consistent this season as well, Brooke is surging up the ranks now that she's used to her smaller driver.  Ingee will likely vault into the top 10 with a win or runner up finish. Jeeno could leapfrog JY Ko at some point too since he has fewer starts under her belt once they get all balanced to whatever metrics Rolex uses.

There was definitely a advantage for the early/late wave but give credit to the players who took advantage of it.  If the weather forecast is right winds of 15-20 with gusts of 30 will complicate things, we'll see how it shake's up the leaderboard tomorrow

Looks like Lexi had a rough time out there.  Maybe she should have at least played last week to shake off some of the rust.  I understand that she's not a fan of the Evian but this has got to be disappointing.  Maybe she should have also borrowed Megan's pants.

 

Good showing for local gal Louise Duncan to make the cut.  I think they said this is her 2nd event since turning pro.  And good for Rose being the only amateur to make the cut.

 

Too many good names atop the leaderboard so I am not sure who to pull for.  I just hope for some great golf and a shootout on Sunday.  Oh and some windy/rainy conditions would be a bonus.

Today's 66 by In Gee was the lowest round she has ever played in the AIG Women's Open.  Regardless of whether she wins or loses this week, it has been a remarkable year for her -- a sort of renaissance for the player with 10 KLPGA wins, 2 JLPGA, and 1 LET win.

Just out of curiosity, I looked at the scoring for the 17 players that finished at +4 and 8 of them had at least a bogey on the 18th hole (1 had a double).  That included Furue and Popov.  Jennifer Chang eagled 17 to make the +3 number while IK Kim bogeyed 18 to finish at +3.

This has the possibility of being a terrific weekend of tournament golf - log jam atop (17 players within 6 strokes of the lead), great course and the prospect of some challenging conditions.

Its funny when you play links golf as your home course; days with no wind are the ones that are rare and you get excited about.

 

My golf has been terrible this year but with the extra firm conditions this year in Scotland I have been scoring better into than down wind.
