I have seen several bwb WW Special drivers but only fairway woods in rwr like my 2 wood restored by Dave. Does golfunderpar18 have a WW Special rwr driver and if so please post pictures? And my deep face M85TW measured.

This model the stamping is gone but removed the sole plate and confirmed it has some original white paint underneath.  Confirmed with many experts it’s also a ww special.   So I have 2 drivers BWB, one driver RWR, and 2 & 3 woods RWR.

Custom ordered only for one year in 1954.  WW aka white woods…..white glazed finish,  only about 100 were said to have been ordered.  These are uber rare for MacGregor collectors.  I’ve seen sets sell for $32k up to $50k.  The most coveted set is 1-2-3-4-5-6 and the only set like this known.  Untouched in original condition with neck numbers.   I’ve exchanged messages with the owner who is a pga of America pro.

The 3  drivers were all just lucky finds on eBay.  I’m a member and admin of several admin groups on Facebook.  After posting my first driver find a group member offered to sell me his matching 2 and 3 woods (which were in original condition).  Another group member who is a club refinished / rebuilder offered to refinish this set for me at no charge as he had always wanted to work on a holy grail set.   He did many iterations of the white glaze finish….7 times if I remember correctly.  Not perfect for sure but he did his best.  I plan to have Dave wood refinish my latest driver find.    I never talk price.
