So if Rory, Spieth, and Scheffler miss the cut today, as stands right now,  they still comeback next week as will still be ranked in the top 70?   Making the cut today doesn't get you in next week, just the top 70 ranking does?

Yes. There is still some reward for doing well in the normal season

Why would anyone be impressed with Fowler shooting -5 on the 1st day and even made it to -6 as I seen this before this year and he still finished over par and missed the cut. You could give him a 10 shot lead starting a tournament and he still wouldn't win. Sorry but there just is no way he can put up good number for 4 consecutive days anymore. I hate seeing this guy fall so bad.

Looks like he is doing OK, T27 so should make the cut....tied with Christian Gesundheit, The Mad Hatton, Streb Throat, among others.

 

He's ahead of Collin Morikawa, Scottie and Johnny Rahm

It would be amazing if he did. To get there he has to go really low both rounds over the weekend in spite of he and others being gifted into the 125.

Morikawa  -3 after 4. Almost -4 if he didn't miss that 3 foot putt on 3. Cam Smith crashes today.

 

Update: Morikawa missed another 4 foot putt on 9 for bogey.  Betting on Collin is frustrating.
