Even if the entire planet was on fire, Augusta National would still be pristine. Except during the summer, when the entire course is torn up and rebuilt to look exactly the same just like every year. If Georgia is under water, the members at Augusta will just pay to bubble the entire property into a 300 acre underwater golf course. No need to use a tournament ball since the course will now play below sea level and the ball will travel shorter. 

 

Also, Gary Player's son will still be making a fool of himself.

A new synthetic green is invented that is so good that it allows players to spin and stop shots and allows for a 13.0 green speed , is making its 3rd appearance at the Masters. The 3M company is working on compound to all allow golf courses to do the same for their fairways therefore saving the environment from global warming and the water shortage. Saving the game of golf from the tree huggers even though the world is currently facing a mini ice age for the last 10 years. And record rain fall in the southwest.

Oh yea. It’s going to be ok.  Loads of loud noises doesn’t a giant make.  And even if it did , a single well placed follow through can easily mute the largest.

The 2050 Masters is taking place at an Augusta National course measuring 10,000 yards. In the year 2045 former Commissioner of the PGA TOUR Phil Mickelson purchased Augusta National for a whooping $54 billion and vowed to revolutionize the way the Masters was played. 

 

Since then the following changes have been made

• Nick Faldo has been stripped of his 1996 since Greg Norman made cheating allegations against him. Norman was awarded his long awaited green jacket.
• The Champions Dinner takes place at the Augusta National Hooters with John Daly being the permanent host.
• 4-time major champion Rory Mcilroy is officially banned from Augusta grounds.
• In 2045 Augusta Owner Phil Mickelson also announced that the Masters is transitioning to a 54-hole team event with shotgun starts. Fast forward to 2050 retired 3-time Masters Champ Pat Perez is now an honorary starter.
• The Par 3 course was demolished and converted into a topgolf where a long drive contest takes place every Masters Wed.
• The green jacket is now a clear coat since Augusta doesn't want to offend the colorblind. 
• Augusta has long eliminated the lottery system for tickets and the first 40,000 people who tweet #CommishPhiphtyphore to the Masters twitter on January 1st get tickets for the event
• And finally instead of butler cabin the green jacket ceremony takes place at the Augusta Topgolf followed by a chain smokers concert.
