I was hoping for the bass boat colors (sparkles) like the Blue TR, but I don't see that in those pics. Shame.

No, both have a good amount of flake in them! Just hard to capture in photos unless it is crazy sunny and you can get it at the right angle.

TR Red is the gamer right now after about 2 weeks of using it! Absolute killer for a shaft for me. Think original Red with a slightly stiffer profile and tighter feel. Launches a little lower than Red and takes a little more effort to turn over. Really smooth feel when it loads and kicks at impact. Produces flat, slightly higher than mid launching bombs in my Stealth+

TR Black is STIFF! When I did the waggle test there was no waggle to it! Much stiffer profile than the OG Black and takes a lot more swing to get it to load. For me it is noticeably lower launching and takes a little more effort to turn it over.

This all sounds like good news. I have been playing the TR blue for a bit and the red sounds fun.

Super interesting to read how the TR gives the black more feel. This is very exciting to have around.

I will ad this: I just got back from a buddies golf weekend and play with a few guys who can really bomb it past me. I was able to keep up with them better than I ever have with that Stealth+ / TR Red 6x combo!

Had you played the red profile in driver before? Curious to hear what differences there seems to be in real world application.

Yes, I am a big fan of Red and have been playing it in either driver or fairway since it was a "Proto MH" shaft! The biggest difference to me on the course is that the TR Red just launches lower and produces a flatter ball flight. It also takes a little bit of the left away compared to the Red. I can still draw it, or snap hook it when my swing decides to do that, but it on average flies straighter. As for feel, the TR Red feels a touch stiffer when you load it on the way down but still is smooth with no harsh vibrations.

Nice!  Have you tried the OG black in your stealth plus?  Like a 6S?  Curious how that would compare to the Red TR (I assume you have it in 6X?...  any tipping?)?

I'm at around 112 with driver but struggle for peak height.....so the Red TR is very intriguing to me....

I haven't hit the OG Black in the Stealth+ since I switched to ALL FIT and lost a lot of shafts that are now too short to switch tips. But I did game Black most of last year in my SIM2 Max head. For me the TR Red offers a lot of that stable feel that OG Black has but mates it with a higher launch.

Thank you for the feedback BK...  you had my ears perked up during the recent CJ podcast last week.  Cool to know it was the Red TR.

@Fujikura Golf I am trying to understand the specs on the website. Specifically the tip flex and butt flex. It seems as though the lower the number the stiffer the flex.

For example the Ventus red 6X has a butt stiffness of 74 the 6R of  84. Then comparing the red to the black the black 6X is 80 and the red 6X is 74. So, is does the red have a stiffer butt than the black? Then of you look at the tip flex numbers they are not that far off.. 92 vs. 86. Are these numbers a linear deal across all lines? Or is this more of a relationship deal? Meaning if you have a butt stiffness of this, then relative to that the tip stiffness is that..

Just has me more curious. lol.

What info can you give towards this? Thanks.

I think you're referencing the black 6S.  The 6X looks to have a stiffer butt than the red in the same weight and flex.

I may have got them crossed up. Still not a huge difference. 74 vs. 72.. and 92 vs 86... But I dont really understand what these numbers mean. Also interesting that the butt diameter of the red is larger. (not by much, but still is)..

A slightly extra tipped red could just be the next hotness.

1000% my hopes.  I have historically gravitated to shafts with stiffer butt sections.  The purple concept wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.  Similar concept with the new line may be absolutely perfect!

I think they have to make the butt of the red stiffer due to the tip and mid section being softer than the blue and black, i guess it helps with the overall stability, especially with the Spread Tow fabric up at the handle. Found this chart on the website which helps explain where the stiffness is in each profile

If the TR versions are adding on and not replacing the originals, but they are stiffer lower launching versions, then I'm curious about the overlap between for example the black 6TX and the new black TR 6X.

Any thoughts on that @Fujikura Golf?

To partially answer my own question.

Black 7x: 86 butt flex, 70 tip flex, 2.8 torque, 78 grams

Black 7tx: 85 butt flex, 63 tip flex, 2.8 torque, 79.5 grams

Black tr 7x: 85 butt flex, 68 tip flex, 2.7 torque, 80 grams

So the 7tx is significantly stiffer in the tip section. 7trx is a step stiffer overall compared to the 7x. But is the 7trx stiffer or comparable in the midsection compared to the 7tx? That's where the tr material is supposed to reinforce right? Does that cause the sligthly lower torque and higher weight?

Its mainly reinforced in the butt with the spread tow
