Interesting to see he hasn't changed his fairways to the new model, but he's moved onto the Blue TR, away from his conventional Blue.

I tried one out one time and they do have a really odd feel to them. I'm surprised they have stayed in the Golf Pride catalog as long as they have.

Love Cam and this et up, and can't wait to see him play in the events Down Under next year.  The PGA has gutted the Australasian Tour over the last 10 years so if it means we get to see some of the world's finest golfers back in Australia, then I am all for it.

How will the PGA spin the defending Players champ not pegging it up in 2023?  His up and down for five on the 18th at Sawgrass after plonking one into the drink, is still one of the most clutch bogies I have seen in recent memory.

Are those grips as firm and slippy as they look? If so, whats the logic in playing with them over anything else?

Its like tour velvet texture with tour wrap rubber for a little tack.  I have 1 club gripped with it. Not bad, seems to not get as slick as fast as the standard tour velvet or the bottom rubber part of the multicompound.

I played these for a couple seasons, definitely a love/hate sort of thing I think. The are a very firm/hard grip similar to Z-cords but all about tack/stickiness over texture/grip. If that works for you then they can feel great, but they're terrible if that doesn't. They build up well though and last a long time.

I think for me the thing for me though, is they feel like the weather needs to be 65 with no moisture in the air. Any moisture or sweat and they become super slick. I’ve never used these grips so I wouldn’t know from experience, but they just seem that way to me. Same reason I’ve never tried the tour wrap 2G. Both grips to me feel like the gloves that receivers wear playing football. Super tacky, but with some moisture and you can’t catch anything.

Probably better numbers and more consistency with the Blue TR.  Also, the Blue TR kicks less and he might like that feel.

Yeah agreed. Based on oils, sweat, and general body chemistry, this is the type of grip that will either be great or terrible. I feel the same way about the Tour Wrap as a grip I initially thought I would really like but felt like it took very little to go from super tacky to slick.

Yep I learned very quickly that I need the roughest and hardest grip I can find just based on how my hands are.  And I quickly learned that is the Z cord.  Best grip on the market in my opinion.

Same here. Down here in South Texas we have crazy high humidity and I need the gnarliest grips I can get my hands on. These Tour Velvet Tack didn't work for me at all.

Bringing up an old thread. Does anyone know if the shaft he's playing in his 7 wood is the ust elements gold?  For some reason every WITB has it listed as the ust elements red, not sure if thats a typo.  Also, is that a standard weight that he's playing in that 7 wood or the +6 gram weight?  Hard to tell.  Any help would be appreciated!

Since he went to to other side probably won’t here much about it.

Unless he starts using an unreleased TSR5 I doubt we will get any info on his bag, and LIV don't seem to be bothered to tap in to the equipment of their players!
