Is the G425 $200 better than the G410?

And definitely sounded much better! I am still gaming my G400 LST. Cracked one head and got a G410 from Ping as a replacement, it lasted about two weeks before going on the Bay so I could scrounge another G400. Hit the G425 on a launch monitor indoors and was not a big fan.

I got fitted to the G400 in early 2018; when the 410 came out I asked my fitter about it, and he told me not to bother coming in to hit it.  (Those were his very words!)  I did hit the 425 in a fitting last year, and it was no better than the 400, if as good.  I ended up with an Epic, and my fitter was honestly surprised that the Epic was better than the 400.  At that time, he still thought the 400 was the best driver on the market, even at 4 years and several product cycles later.

Yeah Ping really went backwards with their new G-Series drivers. They progressively get worse from the G400-G410-G425.

 

I have a great idea. Just make the G400 again and slap a new coat of paint on it, maybe add 2 more turbulators and call it the 'new G450' driver. #marketing

Don't know if anyone has said it, but if you wait until next season, I'm sure you'll have your pick of discounted G425s once the G430s get released...

I had a G410 LST for 3 seasons; cracked it a month or so ago.

 

Ping were amazing and replaced it with a 425 LST in exact same spec; I don't like it for some reason.

 

I bought a Stealth and so far the jury is out on that too! I just wish my G410 hadn't cracked!

Love my 410 LST. Especially with my consistent slight toe miss. IMO if you're looking for the most forgiveness go 400 Max, if you're looking for stable low spin head you can't go wrong with the 410 LST.

Hey guys I’ve sold my driver and want to get a g400 Max. Found one in 9/10 condition with headcover and stock shaft.

 

what would you say is a fair price for that?

 

I think I could get it for $400AUD which equates to about $280 USD.

Not at all.  They have held their value as well as any driver in the last 10 years.
