Courses around Sioux City/NW Iowa

Anyone have some really good tracks they can recommend around Sioux City/NW Iowa/SE South Dakota?

 Landmand is across the river in Homer, Nebraska, is on everyone's list of most expected new courses, and is opening for play at the start of September.

Depending on how far you want to drive, Tatanka is about an hour and twenty minutes west of Landmand.

If you're staying in Sioux City, there's Dakota Dunes C.C. in Dakota Dunes, SD (a northern suburb of Sioux City).  It's private but I would think a call from your pro could get you on.  Arnold Palmer design.  Whispering Creek is on the east side of Sioux City and is a solid choice. 

50 minutes north of Sioux City is The Ridge in Sioux Center, IA.  That's a very solid 18 hole course.  

There's also The Bluffs in Vermillion, SD which is about 30 minutes northwest of Sioux City.

The Bluffs in Vermillion is a decent track.

 

If you're looking for an old school muni vibe, check out Covington Links in South Sioux City.

 

Green Valley in Sioux City isn't bad either.

Old Dane is very flat.  They did a good job of building up some humps and mounding but overall, the course is completely flat.

If willing to drive up to Sioux Center I would recommend in the area Landsmeer in Orange City and Willow Creek in LeMars.
