Put a sky mark on my new FW- toss it?

Is it useless now? 
 

I am not sure my OCD can handle seeing that sky mark over every shot 

 

I did it trying to punch out of the rough with it

 

new 425 5 wood

 

feels like 250 bucks down the drain

Dude...come on.  It's paint.  Get over it.  Either touch it up, man up, or get rid of it.  You ever seen a tour pros clubs?  They look like they've been dragged behind a cart on a gravel path.  They are tools, not show pieces.

Not sure whether you’re simply venting or (semi) serious, but the folks below can offer a third option.  They used to have (may still have) a very large thread going in the Club Tech forum.

 

I had them do a beat up original Ping Rapture 3w for me.  Restored it and painted it to match the Titleist woods I was playing at the time.  Excellent work at a fair price.

im sure u can sell it for at least 150 unless the crown is dented.....I think you should just game this wood and if it becomes a keeper, either repaint it or sell it and buy a new one.......worst thing is to sell this one and then sky your new one too.....5 woods are meant to handle deeper rough and sometimes u will slide right under it depending on the lie

I really don't like looking down at a club with a sky mark either, but that looks more like a minor scratch than a sky mark.  Break out the Sharpie and make it disappear.

I'm in the sharpie camp as well, but if it is giving you bad vibes sell it and get something else. Don't want bad thoughts over a shot.

It's fine, just play it.  I have a few dings on my driver and used a black sharpie and you can't even tell unless you really look at it from up close.

I have used automotive touch up paint in the past, but this will probably work better.  Use a toothpick to fill stratch and not the brush.
