Taylormade Iron Wait Times

Can anyone share their experience with the current Taylormade wait time for iron orders?

 

Going on 3 months and skeptical for fall golf!

Ordered at end of April. All "in-stock" components per discussion with Taylormade. Arrived end of July.

They were pretty slow, but have picked up like most now. Depending on shaft options could be just 2 or 3 weeks now.

I ordered a P770 3 iron around 10 days ago from an online merchant in the UK, custom build with an S400 Tour Issue and adjusted loft, just had an email to say it will be with me tomorrow.

I recently ordered a combo set (lefty P790 4 iron, P770 5/6, P7MC 7-PW) and it shipped in a little less than two weeks. I did check that all the components were in stock on their website beforehand though -- I'd initially planned to go with a P770 in the 7 iron as well, but it was showing as a wait until October on that one.

P770s 10 weeks.  Ordered from Taylor Made.  Only grips were in stock.  Clubs came two weeks earlier than initial ship date.

Call TM customer service and ask. They’re quite experienced at such calls at this point. If one of the components is out of stock and has no firm delivery date (within the next several weeks or so), it may be infinitely delayed, and a discussion with the CS rep on alternatives  may be in order.

P790s took 6 months, Stealth irons took 1 week.

According to their website most things are in stock. I was looking at the 790 irons, but after reading this thread it may be a longer wait than what they advertise.

I ordered the 3 iron for my 770s a few weeks later on.  Everything was in stock when I ordered it, custom shaft and grip, and it shipped in three days.  Just my experience.

Fits in with mine - just dug out the initial receipt, I ordered my 3 iron online through a 3rd party on the 4th of August, and it was delivered today direct from TM. In fact it would have been yesterday if not for a misunderstanding with the courier.

I ordered my P790's (LH) July 13. They were supposed to ship out August 22, and today they were moved to October 15. I have numerous tournaments starting in October. I am screwed lol

I ordered p790s as well, DG T S300 and the TM rep is completely ghosting my fitter. I have no clue when they are supposed to arrive. The issue seems to be the true temper backorder, which shafts did you get?

I ordered the MMT 105 S shafts, with TV midsize grips.

Friend ordered p770/p7mcs 4-W on Monday morning with tour issue x100s and they’re scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. Pretty impressive, I feel like. Really like how they show the component availability before ordering. Might not be perfect but still a pretty solid feature.

Sounds like the issues are still with P790s.

I have no understanding of what is really happening. As I said in an earlier post on this thread, I ordered P 790's at end of April. All components in stock per website AND confirmed by Taylormade ordering rep over the phone. I decided to get a different shaft since it was in stock and the one I really wanted was not going to be available for the rest of the year! Told it would take a week or two to get my irons. Received at end of July. Why can't Taylormade provide their customers with honest explanations. Blaming covid doesn't cut it any longer.

My buddy ordered P790 4 iron, 5-pw 770's with Modus Tour 120X soft stepped once.  Had them in 5 days.

If you get sick of waiting for your 790s, it may be worth testing the Rogue ST Pro. Callaway's turn time has been consistently much better than TM and Titleist over the last couple of weird years.

P7MB's with recoils took about 2.5 weeks from order to delivery.

P790’s with Recoils +.5 length and 1* up took 12 days from ordering to delivery. I paid the $25 next day delivery , well worth it.

 

liked the irons so much I ordered the MG3 wedges 54/58 a few days later with same specs, paid the $25 next day delivery and had them in my hands from Calif to SC in 6 days.

$25 for next day delivery but it took 12 and 6 days. Are you notified when they’re actually finished being built and then the actual shipping date so the $25 is worth spending I presume? Thanks!

Good News! The P790's delivered today! 2.5 months all seems worth it now.

I ordered a blended set of P790 (4i&5i) and P770 (6i thru AW) with the KBS C-Taper Lites in February 2022.  The 790s came in May and the P770s on 9/22
