Lawrence CC, Jayhawk Club or Topeka CC in Kansas

Moving to west in Lawrence in a month and looking to join one of these 3 clubs. Have pricing but just wanting some feedback on the courses and membership. Looking for a decent course that’s not overly crowded and a fun membership. Any feedback is appreciated!

I've only played Lawrence country club but can say that course is fantastic. What I hear about Jayhawk Club would keep me away from it for now. It sounds like they are struggling to make ends meet and the course is suffering because of it. Things might have changed since of course. Can't speak much on Topeka CC. 

 

Eagle Bend is an awesome public track in the Southwest corner of Lawrence that I try to make it out to a few times a year. Sounds like you are more interested in the private scene, but if you are moving to Lawrence, definitely check out Eagle Bend at some point.

Thanks man! I live in Baldwin City now so I get out to Eagles Bend quite a bit but public tee times are crazy right now. I’ll probably get out to both Jayhawk Club and LCC in the coming weeks. Jayhawk Club is just a bit closer to where we’re moving in west Lawrence and is very reasonably priced. If you live in the area and want any feedback, just reach out!

Dunno if you made a decision, but Jayhawk Club is terrible with a great range. 

 

LCC is probably the better course, but TCC has a way better clubhouse and pool if that’s what you want.  TCC’s practice facilities suck and they could cut down half the trees on the course and still have too many.

Agree w/ the Carter. Multiple good golfers say LCC has the best greens in Kansas. TCC is easier to walk than LCC but has lots of trees. TCC's clubhouse is definitely nicer. Stay away from Jayhawk.
