Why do some Callaway guys add adjustable hosels to fixed fairways, only to leave it in neutral setting?

Sometimes the loft they want is only available in an adjustable model and/or in a certain head size and shape they prefer. Even if they keep the hosel in N/S (which Burns doesnt, he uses the upright D setting in the pic) the extra weight in the hosel from the adjustable versions promotes a slight draw which the bonded versions do not. Some guys want that.

In addition to that, since Callaway's adjustable hosel doesn't change the orientation he is free to make small tweaks if needed without screwing up the align grip position. It's his sole fairway wood it looks like so being able to tweak the loft or face angle slightly is handy.

Of course they can get their heads built to spec (loft/lie/face angle) in the regular bonded neck.  I wonder if it is a weight distribution thing, or a visual thing, or if they actually do it so they can tinker with the settings week to week (although tinkering seems unlikely to me at this level).

You'd be surprised re: tinkering. Some guys certainly not, but i've seen Tiger move his fairway woods a tick on the range before.
