It's hard to understand what exactly they're doing due to the vague business technobabble. It partly explains why they've been so friendly in recent months, playing together in Ireland, playing together at St Andrews before the tournament.

 

The stadium idea, I'm not sure how that will work in a stadium. Hitting targets like Skillzone in the old Tiger Woods games? Playing a short par 3, closest to the pin again and again. Chipping contests? Would like to know more.

This has potential. It could be the TMRWSport champion and Tiger battle it out with the Holey Moley Champion and Steph Curry in an annual WTF Cup.

How about a "Drive Less, Play More" campaign were they use tech to organize local, multi-generational pick up games and tournaments for a wide variety of sports.

So an invitational team format golf event/series, with longer shots on a Topgolf type environment, and a short course and putting green complex built inside the stadium.

Major bromance developing here. Did you notice the company name is their initials intertwined? Plus I hear they are now each wearing separate halves of the same heart shaped necklace.

One on hand, could work, somewhat a different version of a pro-am. 

 

On the other hand, has the vibes of the QB challenge at the Pro-bowl. Its half a snoozer to see once a year, never mind multiple times. From what it appears to look like, will say Justin Thomas hitting into a simulator draw crowds?

 

Somewhat side note: could end up being the Dude Perfect guys, as much as I would need to be paid to watch them do their thing, they do make money, so what do I know.

The changes appear worthwhile.  But there's sure a lot of strife on the men's tour right now.  Too many players throwing barbs at others.

Reminds me of the Brooks / Bryson bs.

Sounds like a copy of LIV or at least similar in many ways. They are copying the worse show of all time shotmakers and putting a twist on it. PGA tour is getting desperate.

Watching them hit balls into a simulator? Who wants to grab some lunch, go to the PGASS and watch/bet on people in the bays? I hope this is not the product.

That is the product.  How else are you playing golf in a stadium?  Hitting long shots into a screen, then chipping/putting on a short game course.  

 

It's going to be Topgolf meets TXG meets Bryson's YT channel.

Golfchannel did a show like this when Topgolf first came out. It was basically 2 people teams made up of people from Big Break playing topgolf.

Sounds like an enhancement from Tiger's last venture Popstroke https://popstroke.com/about/  could be interesting, especially with a live betting aspect and the 2 hour format.  Smart move with all the revenue Callaway is generating from Top Golf.

Pretty accurate assessment. The question is will this grow participation in real golf or become an alternative to it. Will coming generations of golfers play mostly on simulators, day or night, rain or shine, summer or winter, playing in 2 hours or less. Or will they continue to play outdoors, subject to the weather and seasons , taking 4 or 5 hours to play. And how will seeing top players compete at simulator golf accelerate the trend.

Hadn’t thought about that aspect. But being able to watch Tiger play and be competitive on prime time TV. I think that’s a product that would sell.
