I give credit for never really having it or being in it all day (actually that's more of a different problem) but what's hard to watch is when she's leading with 4 holes to go and she gives it up.

Yeah, I know but this set-up just doesn't work when you have a stacked leaderboard and one of the featured players is dropping like a stone.

 

Plus she's sooo slow.

Plus they basically have 6-8 camera's onsite on any given week. lol  They camera's on the last group and then camera's another 4 groups back covering Gaby and Megan.  And a bunch of solo camera's running around taking long shots of everyone else lol

Caroline most definitely did not crash and burn, after those first two holes she played pretty darn good.

 

Can't really blame 2 bad holes on Lexi and Lucy's lack of momentum. Didn't seem to affect Caroline.

No, I think I was correct in terms of winning.  Like I said, if she's thinks she doesn't have a chance then she frees up and play well but 3rd is a good result so nice comeback ...... but she was out of the winners circle after the 2nd hole.  Lucy was sorta predictable she played fine, bogey free under par round she just got run down.  The weird thing was all the rain flipped the script, all the players who were playing good in the firm and fast condition hit the wall when it slowed down today and vice versa.  The slow greens really caught lots of players.

Great bounce back by Caroline rattling off 6 birdies after that @ChronicSlicer like start to her round.

 

Shame to see Maria Fassi finally have a nice start, only to finish tied next to last.

Congrats to Gaby!  I figured this setup for a comeback winner, I just didn't think it was gonna be Gaby or Megan to be honest.  Lucy played fine and just got run down.  Nice comeback from Caroline to get 3rd and Lexi just wasn't hitting the ball today, the putter looked fine.

 

Another week in Ohio but I suspect this course will be no Inverness, I would like something a little tougher, like -5 being an incredible round

No, Kenwood Country Club, Kendale Course, isn't Inverness.  Inverness ranked #5 in Ohio, Kendale is #28.

 

But, it's much better than Highland Meadows Golf Club where we played this week.  It's unranked.

Steady rain ALL day. Handheld scoring device was acting up under those circumstances. Lexi didn't putt well, came up short alot. Made one on the front but it was for par. Hitting trees, careening shots to the right, unable to master the rough all played into her back nine collapse. She was still gracious after the round. Her dad of course followed along. Heard him say Nicholas is hanging it up but Curtis will continue to 'hack' around for a couple years. Props to Caroline for pulling it together after the awful start. Lucy played pretty steady and I look forward to more from her. Strong player.

 

I also watched Gerina this week a bit and was happy to see she's put a little bulk on her frame as I felt she'd gotten way too thin. I see Gianna Clemente is again on the tee sheet for tomorrow to try to qualify in Cinci.
