New custom Titleist - cylinder in shaft

Just received brand new custom T200 utility build (3, lie 2 up, 1degree strong), with Ventus Black HB 10tx.  Ordered direct from Titleist.  
 

Unfortunately after only two solid strikes I felt something sliding in shaft.  I was able to remove it through grip without taking it off or pulling club (thank you WRX).  It’s a very small cylinder with a straight notch down side, looks like lead maybe, some black coating in spots.  Club still feels ok but now concerned with build quality. 
 

Should I just carry on, maybe watch swing weight or go through whole process of shipping all the way back to Titleist etc?

Pictures would be helpful - but most likely it's just a tip weight that came loose.   It happens an should be covered under any warranty if you want to get it fixed.  Or any competent local builder could fix it a well.   Save the piece so they know how much weight has been lost.

 

Removing it could effect the swing weight and head weight feel.   Whether it's enough to be a problem or not, only you can make that judgement.  Take it to the range and see how it feels.  The other (simpler) alternative is to just use lead tape on the head if it does feel a little too light for you now.

Thanks I think you’re right on the weight.  Seems like piece broke off, as long as it doesn’t effect anything else structural I’m good with it.  I’ll try to get some pics of it tonight.

 

Will take to range to test feels and weigh the piece to replace with lead tape.  If still not confident will just hit up Titleist.

Looks like epoxy to me that cured inside the shaft and broke off on an impact.

Looks like a tip weight or really part of the stem of one.  The channel to allow air past to prevent an air lock is a pretty good giveaway.

 

If it is lead, it doesn't look like more than a couple grams.   Might not even notice it's missing.

Thanks yep, weighed it and it’s 2.56 grams.  Appreciate the thoughts, feel better about it now.  Nothing worse than an issue with a brand new club but seems like no big deal.
