In all seriousness Aaron, I think we talked about my buddy who was a professional skateboarder,picked up golf and started working together. His recent handicap revision was 10.something and dropping, 20+strokes since we started and he’ll be single digits soon.

 Guys that can already play, it’s usually minor tweaks or just a discussion of ideas, New players are great as well if they put in the work, it’s really about developing a game and getting some golf culture and building a relationship with the people I work with, fully invested in them improving their game.

Working with Santa Cruz professional skater Kevin Braun, he picked the game up a few months ago, did a little 30 min rough dive into some ideas 

 

Driver swing is from Joe Maddons son, he’s been at it just over a year and has improved a TON

We’ve done 3 lessons and a playing lesson, he’s picked up so much speed already and getting a better feel how to use his body

Few months later and look where we are:

 

fwiw, he’s like 5ft2 and early 50’s, was hitting driver about 225-230 when we started. Yesterday’s numbers

First off, it was a very enjoyable session working with Mark.  The ability to talk golf and the game in general provide a better experience than just a random lesson.

 

I will have to say - I am not fully capable of doing everything at this time.  But I did takeaway a key point about the clubface and the release.  I practiced it and made sure I stayed aware.

 

Just got back from Bandon where my partner and I won the tournament this last week.  I hit every iron with the mindset Mark instilled in me and it made my game start coming back.  I certainly am not fully where I want to be, but I have a key couple of thoughts which enables me to hit better shots.

 

I will get back with Mark later for a refresh and more work.

Just a little update:

 

I am officially instructing up at greenfield lakes in Gilbert, fully lit until 10pm, top tracer just like Dobson as well as an indoor private studio with trackman. The mats are much better at greenfield as well, and I’m about to start rebuilding the turfed private instruction area in the back of the range that’s been idle for years.

I'm interested in doing continuous work with players to really help them.  Invested in them scoring better. Something that will stick vs tips, and people who will practice haha!

I'm excited for the opportunity, grateful as well.

Mark you will do well my next trip out there is September with my wife who btw has only hole in one I have ever witnessed and will probably seek you out
