Palm Desert trip booked for February

Nice place enjoy, when you're all there Desert Willow s/b top of your list maybe even twice, make sure to book Classic Club & PGA West both Stadium & Nickolas and if you can get everyone organized take the 1 hr 20 min drive out to Ram's Hill. If you want to just have an easy fun day, play Eagle Falls at Fantasy Springs then go to the casino for drinks/dinner and some cards/slots.

Definitely doing Classic Club and PGA West stadium, there is also a Faldo course we love out there.

 

we went in November last few years due to circumstances, but moved back to February when everything is open. Overseed season sucks.

Both courses at Indian Wells were awesome.  It would be really tough to even pick which one i liked better Especially if you are doing 36 that day.  They had a food truck and a lot of comfortable chairs right in between the two courses.  Outside services even cleaned our clubs while we ate and had a beer.  

 

Palm desert Country Club was pretty fun too.  We played an early round in 2.5 hours on the day we left town.

I am in Rancho Mirage least 5-6 times a year, friends live there.  Shadow Ridge (Faldo) course is a good test, #18 eats plenty of balls.  Classic club early am is best, as the wind comes up around 11 making the game more challenging.  All the PGA courses are #1 in my book, I play them often.  The Palmer Pvt is my best.  If you want an easy day, where you see everything in front of you, check out Gary Player course, it's a fun banger, no pain track.

Seems my best was 74.  I play that course most times in RM, just fits my eye.  Normally, Green tees, nice run out, but playing Gold tees, I use 2 iron and long iron in and target the left tip of the right bunker.
