4. Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons? I love to test and tinker,  I've worked through 4 sets in 4 years before settling in on the Grindworks and one set I heavily considered was the Kyoei Dual Weighted irons, with a similar concept to dial in weighting.   I eventually passed because I wasn't able to demo them or even get head specs and it was steep investment with little information, but I would love the opportunity to see if this style iron can help calm down some directional misses without having to pack on the lead tape!

4. Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons? I like my irons, but don’t love them. (Against the WRX majority opinion, I liked my Z 765’s better.) Statistically speaking, iron game is by far the weakest part of my game. I’ve been down a few rabbit holes trying other irons and still haven’t found “the one”.  The moveable weight tech really intrigues me with the Edel irons.

4. I am not currently happy with my irons and feel like I am losing consistency with off center hits using the TM. I am also very intrigued by the idea of single length irons. My edel wedges are some of my favorite clubs in the bag and wonder if the irons are just as good.

4. Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons? I've always heard and read good things about Edel clubs but I've never had the opportunity to hit them myself. The ability to change the weighting in each individual iron to fit how I hit that club seems like it could have an even bigger positive impact on my game than getting properly fit for a driver did. The amount of enjoyment I would get from that level of tinkering would likely only be surpassed by the happiness I'd get watching my handicap drop back down.

I'm working with a new swing coach and my ball striking has improved over the last year. As I take my practice to the course I have been wondering if I'm missing strokes due to my iron design/forgiveness.  Trying the Edel irons would be perfect for me to explore and experiment with another set and hopefully drive down my scores a bit more.

4. I believe total weight and SW are the most important part of fitting.  I have grown tired of drilling holes down hosels on my shorter irons and having to use lead tape on my longer irons.

Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons? - I'm a frim believer that the idea of "players distance" clubs is one that more people should consider.  They are GI's in blade form and even the most discerning golfer who only plays blades will look down on them and say 'that doesn't look too bad' and once they hit them they'll say 'thats pretty damned good'.  I like to consider my Pings as my dad irons.  I play 1-2x a week at most, hardly ever practice, mostly hit the ball on muscle memory from when I played a lot (pre wife/kid) and these irons keep me up with the younger golfers distance wise, they forgive my ball-striking sins, and don't require me to make my eyes go out of focus when I address the ball because they look good too.
