4. I love hollow bodied irons and have tried just about all of them on the market. I’m also interested to see how the weighting can help me square the club face. I tend to have the face a little closed on short irons and a little open with long irons. Trying to see if I could match those two up.

Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons?   First, I love the feel of nice forged irons (I love Srixon brand irons because of that).  But I also have a very consistent miss (an overdraw/hook), and having an iron that could help me to straighten that out (and allow me to still get after it) would be game changing.

I think first and foremost Edel has a great reputation of making high quaintly products and their focusing on fitting is something I have always appreciated. I briefly had a set of their irons several years ago and really liked them but I wasn’t fit for them so they didn’t end up making it. These irons look great and I would love to really hone my iron game in over the next year.

4. Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons? A couple reasons ...  First, I've been recently trying out one of the 54° Edel wedges with the same technology, very interesting. Secondly, as a fitter/repair technician at a large chain golf retailer, it's always interesting to spend time trying, learning, comparing all the latest offerings and technology. Oh yeah, was fitted for an Edel putter over 10 yrs ago, still in the bag. Thanks for the opportunity.

I find Edel to have cutting edge, creative thinking ideas. As someone who doesn’t always play the “big box” brand equipment; it would be nice to compare them to another boutique iron set in my Haywood’s. I also have a repeatable and solid golf swing that will allow variations from weight movement to be noticeable.

Yes I am. I own a TrackMan and have access to a GCQuad to gather data and shot tracing for the different irons with different weight locations.

4. Why do you want to test Edel's SMS irons? I have 4-9 in the Edel SLS 01 Irons and an older Edel Wedge.  I have been interested in trying the newer Edels.  I am considering transitioning to Variable length.
