What is your favorite club?

It is funny, but we all have a club that we like more than the other 13.  I really like my wedges and short irons as that is my strength.  But I always had trouble with a 170-180 yard distance.  My 5-6 iron is weak.  So I decided to build the perfect 170-180 yard club.  I am a tinkerer and do not like stock clubs.  All my irons are 2* weak.  Hybrids are too long shafted and too upright.  So I found an original TaylorMade Rescue Mid (~2002).  Got the ladies head which is #5 and 25*.  The original were only released for men in the 19* and 22*.  Took the ladies 25* and shafted it with a steelfiber i95 shaft to keep the swing weight up.  Made the length only 38" like a 6 iron.  It swing weights at D-1 with a 43 gram Winn grip.  It is money.  I have always been a high spin player with steeper angle strike.  I can stop that thing on a dime.  I solved my weakest link and now that club is my favorite club in the bag.  There simply was no offering out there that could help me.  Today I nailed 3 shots with that club & before I would have missed the green with a standard 5-6 iron or any ill fitting hybrid out there.  What is your favorite club?

Really love my 58 degree. It's my do everything club around the greens and I just really enjoy hitting it. I used to have a real weakness for those 50-ish yard pitch shots and spent a lot of time practicing them. Now they're one of my favorite shots to hit. Just a great feeling fun club.

Actually, it changes about...so to be frank, JP doesn't really have a permanent fave club anymore.

That could be weird but he does not especially care...

Got 14, hard to have one favorite. '19 PM grind 60 always makes me smile, never have any trepidation with that club (the shot may be difficult, the club is easy to use). It may not be pretty to look at, but its fun.

My 23H rinky dink is my longest tenure club (Epic model), has nicks, likes coming out for scruffy bump and run putts at times, layups from rough, low punches from trees.

7W when attacking a par 5 is a good time: doesn't happen often mind you but when I get some roll in the fairway, giddy up.

Now I want some bacon.

My 7wd…. I just don’t hit bad shots with it and it’s made a weakness distance in the bag a strength. Best equipment choice I’ve ever made was adding it and taking out my 3 hybrid 2 years ago.

Strangely enough, right now it's my driver.  Cally FT-Tour Tour Issue 9.5 with Fubuki 53 gram X shaft.  I'm hitting long 5 yard fades all day with it.  I'm still in the honeymoon period with it as I just bought it a couple of weeks ago, but so far so good.  Hitting some of the longest drives of my life and they are finding the fairway.

My 20* G20 hybrid. I've been in and out of a relationship with this since it was released. But I always end up picking up another one after I stupidly sell it.

Just bought this one last month of ebay. £40 for the club then stuck the ultimate combo in it a Tour ADDI 95 ... Magic wand.20220906_101511.jpg.7010725b48f4a46b1e95760ad508b4c4.jpg20220906_101458.jpg.9c6eb835a28c5198f7936eefeb8dc0c6.jpg
