24 hours to hit a hole in one from 125 yards - $10 million if you do, but 1 year in jail if you don't...

It sure as hell isn't quiet either.  Dudes are yelling all damn night.  Most of them stuff their ears with toilet paper to drown out the noise, and the rest get on Psych meds to help them sleep.

I think most guys on here see "jail" as that little square on the corner of the Monopoly board...

I don't think most of you realize how demeaning, demoralizing and limiting jail is. Not to mention how dangerous.  You may not get back home to see those kids.

A year in jail will be a nice vacation.  Jail isn't that bad, you just have to learn how/where to fit in.

Sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't. Some people can't handle it, some can.  It seems once you get by the first few days, it's just all a routine.

Have you been there, in real life, for any length of time?  I have some friends who have been, and a family member.  All I hear is how dehumanizing it is.

Yeah, I have when I was young and stupid. Honestly it's boring AF until you get into general population.  Reminds me of middle school a lot, clique as can be.

Really more info than I like to divulge, but apparently the internet can't just accept an answer.

I'd definitely pay the PPV fee to watch some other poor souls give this a shot. Would make for the most captivating TV ever.

I feel like this is very possible...unlimited shots and 125 yrs pitches aren't too taxing. Conditions will play a factor in my decision but I'm leaning towards an easy yes.

Have you ever been in prison or talked with anyone who was in prison?  It ain't a TV show.  Carefully consider your decisions.

Interesting.

I've had 5 aces, none shorter than 148 yds. I hole out wedges on a fairly regular basis at the local pitch and put and on approaches. I play wedge games hitting into 5 gallon buckets several times a week.  125 is just a nice 7/8 ths PW for me these days. If the pin isnt in a stupid place like in the side of a ledge or on a knob, and the winds aren't too variable, I am reasonably confident I could get it done. If the conditions remain static its easy to dial it in, just like sighting in a rifle scope.

I don't see a downside here.

If I made a Hole-in-One...

-- Upgrade my current address & owe $0 on the mortgage

-- Upgrade my current vehicle & owe $0

-- Never have to question the value of my membership dues ever again.

-- Early retirement (possibly immediate)

-- Huge upgrade in quality of life

-- Increased focus on health

-- Daily routine of leisure stuff: golf, exercise, etc.

If I were to miss...

-- Spend 1 year not golfing (very do-able)

-- Spend 1 year dieting / exercising (definitely a good thing)

-- Spend 1 year studying for professional S.E. certification exam (a net gain on my resume)

-- Spend 1 year not worrying about actual work (pretty good)

-- Emerge healthier, more well-read

-- Emerge with a better resume on the hunt for a job (instant pay raise!)

So whether I make the hole-in-one or not, both alternatives could lead to great outcomes.

And don’t forget the potential for some of the best romance with hunky guys you’ve ever had!
