TSi4 vs TSR4

same loft switching shafts between, Ventus 5 and 6, same settings etc.

1: sound is better with TSR4

2: weight system great

3: TSi4 is longer when hitting perfect - my gamer for 1.5 year and I love it- but TSR4 are easier to hit and longer all over.

4. TSR4 feels ”harder” not as ”soft” as the TSi4 - very subtle of course…

5. Looks! TSR4 are so nice so perfect in shape 😍

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

As of now, I am planning to stick with TSi3. TSR3 looks like a great driver, but from what I have gathered, it doesn't seem worth the upgrade from TSi3.

That being said, I have not hit TSR3. If I have some extra cash in early 2023, I may go check out TSR tho... I really like to find clubs I like and stick with them. I played a 910 D3 until Epic sub zero came out and switched to that for a few years and then TSi came out. TSi feels like an upgraded 910 and I love it to death.

So far also happy with my TSi2 hybrid, but looking into TSR to replace my 915 3 wood.

Curious if anyone is moving from their TSi fairways to TSR?  I just switched into the TSR3 driver, have no plans of changing out of my TSi2 3 wood, but am curious how the new TSR2 7 wood compares to the TSI2 7 wood (I have one around and prefer the size/shape but the Mav SZ 7 gave me the flatter flight I wanted).  Assuming the new TSR will launch higher with a low CG, was hoping the weight would be far enough forward to flatten out the 7 wood a bit from its predecessor.

I may just need to buy a Ventus 9X and toss it into the TSi, but curious what folks have seen comparing the two generations of fairways.

I kept my TSI three driver but did switch to the TSR 216.5 Threewood and the seven wide so much easier to launch and work in the TS two versions

Went back to TSI3 from TSR2 this weekend. Might have to make it permanent.

Staying with TSi4.  Not even going to pick up a TSr4.  It takes me a a few months to get the weights right (screw-in and lead tape) and they change the weights every time.  I will get a new TSi4 first.  I am going to skip the TRr series.

I am sure that the TSr line is great, but stock woods don't work for me so it takes time to get them right.

Both lines are awesome, and while I would normally say it's not worth an upgrade, I'm getting noticeably better numbers with my TSR3 than I got from my TSi3 (same loft). For most non-HOs, those gains might not be enough to warrant a new driver, but for me they were enough to push me into the new model and I have no regrets. I hit 170 ball speed on the monitor yesterday, which is a first for me. For a 55-year-old non-scratch player, these kinds of things are big wins. 😁

Got rid of my tsr3 😔 for a ping g430 lst. I was too inconsistent with it. Length and width wise. What a nice driver though looks wise and felt very very nice. Wasnt crazy about sound though which was odd being i heard alot of people say it sounded great. I didnt think so.

The ping sounds better than the tsr3? Need your ears checked I think lol

I moved from the cobra LTDxLS to the tsi3

tsi3 is really good for me, love the feel of it, sound was better on the cobra though.

tsr3 is prob the best feeling, sounding and looking driver out there.

hopefully they jump on the carbon bandwagon soon

Not saying they won't, but if it is the best feeling, sounding and looking driver out there why would they jump on carbon bandwagon?

I agree, I think it sounds and feels better because it's not carbon. The performance is as good as anything ever made. Basically the shape of a 905r with today's bells and whistles.

I’m sure I’ll switch back again. Was just swinging poorly and needed to look at something else. Did go through a honeymoon phase with the tsr2 and thought it was incredible. Bet it comes back.

From introduction, played TS2 9.5 to Dec of last year when I bought the TSi3 10'.  Played it for a month, then took it back for TSR2 10', and happy I did.  It is no wonder TSR line is Titleist's most popular driver on tour.  There's no scientific reasons for me, except for how I felt hitting TSi3; my swing needed to be spot on all the time otherwise dispersion increased and a slight loss of distance.  I now see why so many pros play the new TSR3.  Don't know why any amateur higher than 6 index would bother.  To make TSR3 work the user must use the sweet spot.

Since TSR2 10' with Ventus Velo TR Blue stiff at D3 has been in hand, been sort of excited, which is unusual for me regarding driver.  it sounds great at impact, even quiets down DASH-ProV1x, feels nice at impact to my hands, and when I put a wallop on one, trajectory fits my eye, it's dead-straight.  The other nicety, sleeve loft is 10', A1, and when  a bit off or not warmed up, it's still relatively straight and long.

The above combination has me keeping up with playing partners, making it worth the coin.  Technology amazes me, it's a big reason why I am still playing a respectable game, of course regular visits to the gym helps immensely.

Ive hit the sweet spot a ton of times and just couldnt get maximum performance out of tsr3. I loved it.. it just didnt love me. Maybe the 2 would have worked better but the 3 is the one i wanted and didnt seem all that intimidating. It was doable but.. overall not a fit for me. On to ping g430 lst. Mini brnr is a success allready though.

Recently went through a driver upgrade shootout. After a bunch of demoing, it came down to the TSI3 and TSR3 for which driver would end up in the bag. There was no discernible difference in performance/sound/feel/etc with same loft and shaft (GD IZ) with either driver head. So, I saved $300 and got the TSI3. The TSI3 IZ combo is a beast and ticks all the boxes for me

Well my tsi2 fairway stayed in the bag, but when it came down to tsi2 or tsr2 driver to replace my sim max, the tsr2 won hands down. Just the wait for it to arrive now….

Feel the Tsr3 is an incremental upgrade compared to tsi3.  Nothing huge as i3 was an all time great for titleist.  But a little better ball speed and better dispersion especially on toe / heel hits are benefits of tsr3 for me. Sound and feel are equal imo.  I think the sole of r3 also looks better in the bag tbh.  Looks at address  is same.
