Hah, I was @ the nearby PXG location for an iron fitting yesterday.  The fitter thought the sale price would hold till 12/1.  I think the keep there salespeople in the dark on these price swings.

• Gen 5 driver: $299
• Gen 5 irons: $199/iron when you buy 5+
• No sales price for the fairway woods or hybrids

I don’t know where the Dec 1st date came from but we as fitters were never told that date. 
 

if the past is any indicator from PXG, you can’t hesitate because things change rapidly.

Do black friday deals for PXG tend to start early or on actual black friday? Anyone have any insight on deals this year/typical iron sale prices?

I would say what has happened in the past with PXG is unlikely to repeat...  That isn't to say there won't be a Black Friday sale (or other upcoming sale) but the days of PXG prices jumping up and down all over the place every few weeks (or days at times) seem to be over.  I think they were testing the market for a 2 year period after they started to gain market share during the lockdowns when they were the only MFG who could ship clubs out.

 

I have seen the 0211 irons drop to $89 a club (currently $99), and the current gen 0311s to drop maybe $10-$15 per club.  The previous gen usually goes on sale when they are trying to clear it out.  So that might be your best bet, see what they do with the Gen 5s in the next few weeks.

Great insight and thinking you are onto something there. Still hoping we see a $10-$15 drop from current prices on Gen 6 irons to black friday pricing. For me Gen6 irons were a much better fit than Gen5, but truthfully everything else Gen5 still held up against Gen6 items. Should be some good deals to be had even if not at the same levels as years past.

Do they ever do free shipping promos? Went to order a set of an irons and couldn't believe they were trying to charge $60 shipping. Thats INSANE.

It might seem like a lot but the packaging they use and what the shippers charge nowadays they aren't profiting on the shipping charge...

Every so often they come out with a FREE SHIPPING event.  There was one a few months ago for a certain amount of days.  Stock up on your purchases then or if you have a store close to you, go there and buy the items using your Hero's pricing.

Just an FYI, shipping to the store is always free.  I have a store 25 minutes from me, so I always ship to store for free.

 

And one time there was a mistake with an order, and the manager apologized and got replacements on the way.  He couldn't do free shipping to my house, so he shipped it to the store and the. Personally drove them out to me.  PXG's customer service has been nothing but outstanding to me.

That changed this year, they now charge shipping to stores.

Last club I bought was from PXG_Express with free shipping.

A lot fewer clubs showing up on PXG_Express as well...
