Heard Woods and Hybrids with Carbon Face!!!!!

It’s the obvious next step however I’m not convinced carbon faced fairways and hybrids are coming this next release. The face on fairways and hybrids are much smaller so the weight savings won’t be as great. The Stealth woods and hybrids are already high performing as is so I’m not sure what an extra few grams will do for performance. All that said, I’m probably wrong.

I’d be kinda surprised if we see carbon in the fairways next year. Be impressed if they could make that work though

Thats odd, they're all over my club.

I think they're special for sure, but I know of a couple of people who have broken the face of theirs, but they swing in the 120+ range, so I should be safe lol.

I concur.

I know people are saying they break all the time, but the one I saw happen the ball just quacked left crazy fast and the bottom of the face popped off.  Being concerned as a Stealth owner he then assured me its not the first driver he's cracked (2 G425s, 3 Callaways, then the Stealth).  I've broken some shafts, but never a clubhead, so I assume I'm safe.  But with that said, I'm not hitting Pinnacle range balls with a driver ever again.

The only ones I have seen belong to a YouTuber who recently got fitted (plays at our club).  I do see a lot of SIM and I think many people playing more golf or coming back to golf upgraded last year and don’t have money this year.  I haven’t seen any of the new Callaway either.

Even some of the top juniors I see are sticking with previous versions of clubs (again SIM is very popular).  I would be really interested to see how sales figures are for all the OEMs this season.

Carbon on the face, idk about that. It would look like garbage in a month with the use on grass ranges since they tend to be a bit more sandy.

That's what I'm waiting on.  If the Stealth 2 or whatever has the carbon wood face for fairways, I'm making the switch.  If not, then then probably not.  For hybrids, I'm still deeply in love with mine so I probably won't upgrade.  😍

Plenty of members at my cc have the Stealth driver in their bag.  I'd say the number of Rogue ST and Stealth are pretty much even over here.

I would think something about more durable, better attachment to the face, slightly different look and maybe a few grams moved around. Then the year after stealth face 2.0 with maybe 5-10 less layers, a lot of weight savings in the face and attachment to really move weight around.

I think there was a lot of misinformation out about how much weight savings the carbon face actually provided.  It was lighter than the titanium face it replaced but by the time you factored in the shelf it sits on and the glue, the savings only ended up being about 4 grams overall.  I think this will only get better with time though as TM figures out how to improve it.

Found this quote from another site:  "Remember, this is only the beginning of the Carbonwood era and TaylorMade is still learning how to optimize and trim weight from the structures that support the carbon-fiber face. It’s reasonable to assume there’s a bit of over-engineering to ensure everything stays in place and so, when you factor in the ledges that support the face and the bonding agents (glue) that hold everything together, the actual weight savings nets out at four grams."

I'm in the low 140s, stealth lasted a month before a golf ball went through the middle of it.

Same. I play at least 4 times a week plus have a GC3 sim room. Mine gets hit a lot. No issues at all. Not even a scratch on the club face. I’m just over 100 club head speed though

Ive seen several out and about while playing. I get asked about it a good bit. Great club.

TBH, I dont think so.

Maybe in the + model, but for the rest (Hybrids, "normal" fairway) they didnt even go to titanium yet. Carbon is the way to go for a driver as metal faces were maxed out.

Plus, I am not sure if Carbon will be any good on a club that is used off the deck... Just in terms of durability

Seen a few stealths out and about - one of my playing partners last week has one. I guess its archer vs arrow but what I saw was the same as reviews - can be super long when you catch it right but seemed less forgiving tha  previous TM drivers.
