Picked up a set of z745's on the bay a couple years ago.  Saw all the love for them on here and thought I would give them a shot.  Prior to that I was a long time Mizzy player.  Loved the z745's right off the bat, balance, feel, everything.  So when the ZX7/5's came out I was like no brainer let's get em.  But, the z745's just keep working their way back into the bag.  ZX7/5 combo is definitely a hotter face, but the consistency with the z745's trumps distance 100% of the time in my book.

Have loved Z745's so much that I just picked up a set of combo heads, z945 pw-8 / z745 7-5, from a user on here and shafted them up with s400's.  Going to give it some time, but chances are the ZX7/5 combo get's sold.  Plus the z945's are some of the sexiest iron's every produced in my eye's...

Always looking for that next edge, but the best golf I've played in years has been with a set of iron's that's second hand and 8 years old... Short of some of the classic blades out there I can't think of another companies offering that has managed the staying power the z745's had and that's all over the forums of WRX.

well said.  I started with 745's, loved them.  ended up with a 945's and played them for a couple years off and on...  then after those were gone I got a buddy's set of 545's to sell and absolutely crushed them.  not that much bigger either, some offset but so soft and smooth.  but long and money

I had 785's and 585's that just became boring.

The 765 series were like a 545 head...  it was 1x trip to the range and sold them off.

I will say I have hit the zx5's and wow, they are awesome and I feel like they are the size of 745's.  Or close in size.

I now have a minty set of 945's and my plan is next year playing those strictly.  (unless someone wants them lol)

Im such a HO!

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.
Treat people the way you want to be treated

Like several of you, I have a Srixon iron addiction.

Have literally owned them all since the ZTX 2's, which were great.

I've gone back and forth from z765 and z785 as my all time favorites.  I just score best with z765's for some reason.  I love how the PW's shape transitions into my Cleveland 50 degree.  Perfect match.

So I would go z765, z785, zx7, z745, and zx5 in that order.

Woods/Fairways:  Callaway with Mitsubishi shafts

Irons:  Srixon with Dynamic Gold shafts

I'm a newbie to Srixons (two seasons) with the ZX7s now in everything but the 5 iron.  I used to play the Mizzy 900F irons and gave them up to play the Ping i210s...which were not for me.  I used to say that the 900F was the best iron I had every played.  I'd have to say the Srixons are every bit as good.  Just a great iron in every way.

Ping 400 Max

Ping 410 14.5

PXG Hybrid 17/22

Srixon ZX5 5 iron

Srixon ZX7  6-PW

Ping Glide Wedges 2.0 50/54/58

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
