Just got fit for the new driver as I'm on staff with Callaway as a pro.  I'm not sure I'm allowed to say what it is yet but It is awesome. Different look and color which some may not like.  I actually think it looks pretty good.  I used my LA Golf shaft in the Triple Black Diamond head and reduced my spin from 3400 to 2300. Much more forgiving than the Rogue ST Triple Black Diamond head.

🤦🏻‍♂️ if you’re actually on staff, you’d know you can’t and that you’re under NDA until embargo.
Thanks though for the thoughts

Not 100% but in stores i spin it anywhere from 1900 to a bad shot 3400. Average is probably  about 2400-2600?

But yeah i think 2200-2400 is pretty optimal for carry and run spin. The strike is what counts. I can see short spiny ones to the right on course on bad shot. Then a bit low and hot on lower spin.

3,100 RPM at 10.0° in the Fairway?

2,500 RPM at 11.0° only God knows where?

I hear what you are saying, and im not trying to be an a**, but im sure with your talent you would be able to keep a 2500 ball in the fairway. In my experience its more like 2200-2700 is fairway anytime. 1700-2200 is more in the sketchy zone. Optimising distance has become such a massive part of the game and 3000-3200 is not gonna get the pros in a position to win.

I think your version of optimal is off a Trackman Optimizer chart and not wholly incorrect. Whereas Eagles version of optimal is from know what’s best for his game. There’s more in the tank if he wanted it but he clearly doesn’t want the extra.

Ill agree to that, not a trackman chart but you know, whats been said out and about by most pga tour players, coaches and own experience, but those lie closer to the trackman chart yes. Also me talking about pros was more geared towards the top competetive scene, not the teaching pros. Cant really argue with 295 carry, but would be very interesting to hear what distance a 2200 rpm ball would fly.

Play with this to see what lower spin could yield.

TC serial only, TA is only for retail-tour models. These are straight off the tour trucks so they are TC serials. And yes correct. See above if you want to try one out. I had a 9* in play for a while and still might put it back in the bag after I'm done testing this TC Max head.

Never purchased a driver from them but I have purchased a couple putters and hybrids in the past and they have been perfect.  Would expect anything less from any clubs they sell.

I mean, I'm not on Staff with Callaway, I chose to play their gear, my current setup has 3000-3200 RPM of Spin.... I Launch at 10.0°.... I carry 295-300 regularly.

..... I'm perfectly fine with my 3000-3200 Number.

I’m with you on that. I used to be on staff and had access to some nice indoor facilities. Liked the numbers and accuracy I saw with around 3000. Have stayed there ever since. Anything else has been too unpredictable. People forget that top pros/ball strikers have no problems keeping low spin in play. Some of us need the spin or welcome it to help keep it in play.

Edit: And for the record, for anyone who thinks it’s so bad to spin it high, I am a +2.5 and likely carry it well past you 😜

If I wasn't on staff, I would have probably said the name of the club in my original comment because I wouldn't know any better.  Don't you think that would make more sense? Thanks for your input though clown.

Dude, I'm a local teaching pro in Delaware that barely gets to play.  I only have time to play in local events because I teach mostly and have young kids.  I gave my input on how the new head performed compared to the old one. If you want to try to read into more than it already is, you must live a sad life.

Welcome to the forum 👍 and thanks for posting.

Yeah, don't read into too much what people respond or don't respond. There's an ongoing joke here WRXers belt their PW 200, drivers 380+ with the optimal of all optimal launch numbers. Hell, if there was less gravity, WRXers could even drive to the moon.

Looks like the pics are out. GORGEOUS driver, can't wait to place an order... Callaway is on 🔥

Thank buddy. It amazes me that people don’t use their brains before speaking anymore.

No one is trolling buddy, but most get greased a little when they’re brand new and conveniently post about their new and improved numbers right before embargo.

As is tradition, long standing members will notice when guys like yourself (whether intentional or not) post regarding such improvements and ultimately lead to skepticism.

Regardless, welcome to the forums, and thank you for all you’re doing to grow the game through your teachings.
