Yep; I'll be getting the read-in from my boss later this week, but will have to sit on all that for a while.

Most curious to see what happens in the Apex Pro/X Forged space in the iron lineup. Will likely be my choice for '23.

Based on what I see with discontinuations, likely to be refresh of the base Odyssey line.

Anxious to hear about TCB replacements (if any).

Will be watching the WRX galleries from Sea Island and Houston very closely for that as well, among other things.

Really enjoyed this iteration of TCB, but on days when I "don't have the fastball" I need just a touch more help than they offer. Hence the interest in the Apex Pro/XFCB slot.

Hear me out...Big Bertha, Great Big Bertha, Greatest Big Bertha... Epic Big Bertha?

You may be on to something.

I was told by someone that knows.  You will laugh at the name but will love the results.

That’s all I got from them.  Sounds like typical marketing speak.  So we shall see.

Blade, Blazer, Laser.  Don’t know why but that instantly had me thinking of the movie Dodgeball and that line in the bar.   😂

Would love a neutral bias 'speed' driver again

last one was "v" series...even Fusion...nothing since then specific

maybe the 2023 version of Epic Speed will be that driver?

any insight appreciated

FWIW CPO has tour issue Epic Speed heads. They're awesome.

These heads are identical in shape and overall look, right?  They just have the TC or TA serial number and offer some additional lofts like 8.5*, is that correct?

TC serial only, TA is only for retail-tour models. These are straight off the tour trucks so they are TC serials. And yes correct. See above if you want to try one out. I had a 9* in play for a while and still might put it back in the bag after I'm done testing this TC Max head.

I'll ask today when we expect heads in the cart and we'll give them a look and a try.  Hopefully they're already on their way.  But from the pictures I've seen I'm not really seeing a massive top line.  With all the tungsten that they're claiming to put in there and the titanium head, you might not need it.  There's going to be so much weight low and back, it might be overkill.

Ed, nothing yet.  We'll call the rep to see if they can give us a hint.  Since the release is today, I was hoping we'd have something by now.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
