Streamsong Recent Hurricane Ian

Have an upcoming trip- I heard that streamsong was hit hard- and is temporarily closed. They should be open by the time we start to travel…. However, this is a one time trip for us due to cost and distance and we want to play and stay at its best.. I’ve heard they are without running water at the course for now. Anyone have any inside info? Should we reschedule to a later date?

According to their Instagram they are closed through 10/4. I haven't heard anything else. It would have to be pretty bad for me to cancel an entire trip.

We saw that on social media- then I called and they said it was worse than a 10/4 open date and they thought that it would be a lot longer than that before they would be able to reopen.

Streamsong reopens Wednesday, October 5 with only minimal cosmetic damage at the resort.  Not sure your source for information, but "hit hard" is not accurate.  There was some standing water on the 12th hole at Streamsong Blue that needed to recede before the courses could be reopened and standard post storm bunker work and cart path grading since the paths are sand too.  If you are traveling from October 5th on things should be just fine.  The resort has running water.  Please don't spread rumors.

Wow, bad news. Hopefully they can get everything back in good shape soon.

Not trying to spread rumors- just noticed they were closed and called they said they didn’t have water and were closed.

The source of information is the resort itself. Take it easy on the accusations. 
 

sheesh…. Trying to get info on a golf course from a golf course forum.

 

rustic, I would go with the info you receive straight from the resort. I know in south Texas when we get nailed by big storms our courses are certainly not re-opened within a month much less a week.

I got an email from the resort this morning that they are fully open with all services.
