These look good, but doesn’t feel like an improvement vs the original ones. Also won’t convince me to trade in my 785s.

So don’t buy them then. No one is forcing you to move away from what you like, but almost assuredly there’s performance gains to be had vs. the 785’s, and as most Srixon loyalists here would also note 785>no Endo forged, ZX7>Endo Forged

Hubba hubba looking forward to these

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

No news but probably PGA Show.  That is typical of Srixon.  So most of us have a long winter of waiting.

I absolutely LOVE these irons!  Been a fan of Srixon since the 745's hit the market and I was a bit disappointed in the 765 and 785 series.  The ZX7 were really nice but these are a home run in my opinion.

The one complaint I have on these is the busy cavity section.  I don't need all the marketing jargon in there.  Customers aren't standing at the shelf saying "oh crap...this iron has Pureframe technology?  I'm sold!".  Get rid of that and keep it clean.

All that being said, I'm very likely going to have a bag that is predominantly Srixon once the new stuff drops.

Looking at that face, more spin perhaps

Laser Milling is to improve spin out of wet conditions.  There are a handful of Japanese Manufacturers that do this and

Not sure why you’re being defensive. Also digging the 785…. “gains to be had”. I’m sure if you’ve never actually played them right?

Had the 785 and also the new ZX7 gen1. Not being defensive, just moving on from a relatively weak take from you.

Enjoy you clubs!

Endo forged.

Left hand.

Less offset.

More rounded top line.

Retaining more spin from rough.

Retaining more ball speed from hi to low.

I have hit every iron imaginable.

I have played blades for many years.

My current zx7s have been impossible to beat out. Most recently tried the T100 and titleist CB. Callaway TCB.

X100 tour issue.

None have had the consistency and dispersion.

My only complaint is the lofts are slightly strong. I have gotten used to 205 yard carry 6 iron with 6500 spin.

I do think however the irons have a smaller available window in the air.

Other irons can be flighted lower or higher.

Or shaped more in either direction.

my friends watching me hit these irons have had them trying srixon drivers woods and Cleveland wedges.

I believe someone else in here has the specs and stated that the offsets are identical to the mk1.  Seems the offset makes sense for those who blend with the zx5.

I like the hi to low forgiveness you mentioned.  Thanks for the info.

i am also hearing these are for better players. the center contains more mass as well as the low toe weight has been moved to the high toe side.

Also heard this helps with shaft droop.

makes sense... helps a high toe shot more. also hearing that these clubs sweet spot is nearer to center than the previous version, with the COG moving upwards slightly.

likely resulting in slightly lower launch and slightly more spin.

also heard the blade length is FRACTIONALLY smaller.

easier to fade due to weight changes.

I have not been this excited about a club since the MP18 SC.

There is very limited one piece players cavity back irons with modern lofts.

even less in LH.

Mizuno forged looks like a shovel. But the 921 tours were okay.

Titleist CB is 12 yards shorter with same lofts (new release in aug 2023)

wilson staff is getting better but thick topline and ugly cavity

refuse to buy taylormade mc because customer service experiences.

nothing from ping, callaway, cobra is a forged one piece CB.

off brands have cool stuff but difficult to fit.

I speculate that these irons are going to be difficult to beat. Anxiously looking forward to the release. hurry up and take my money
