unfortunately we all have the same problem when there is a new release. For me, I have had every srixon set since the 745 and currently have the zx5/zx7 combo and they are perfect in every way. I know deep down the new irons are going to be exactly the same, but in about 6 months after a bad round i will buy them anyway. U will buy them anyway, and so will the rest of you. Just admit u have a problem and move on

Yes you all need to stop being selfish and buy them now so I know how to set up my set when I get it. Slackers! 😂

How did you split up your zx5 / zx7 set at the  6 / 7?

Same combo set and I will most likely end up doing the same…

Can anyone comment on the stock KBS steel lite shaft in the new ZX5 irons? how much different is this from the Modus 105 Reg that that was in the previous ZX5 irons?  will the launch characteristics and feel be much different?

From my perspective, the weight difference and launch characteristics are different enough you should test. The KBS Tour Lite should launch higher, at least it did with me.

i found them similar to a degree where I wouldn’t worry. Maybe slightly higher launch, but the profile is very similar to the modus. Very smooth.

Yup. Gamed every 7 series since 745 and 2 full seasons on the ZX7 striking the best I’ve ever hit it in my life. Keep telling myself no need to change. I don’t know if I’ll last until February let alone 6 months. 😂

How does the gap wedge look in the set.  I didn’t like the look of the last zx7 one.  Thinking of using the new Rtx 6 in that spot.

the main problem is that i live in NY, way too much down time and staring at golfwrx and trips to golf galaxy. Maybe if i could play all year round i would not be such a golf ho. Yeah right

Awesome...thanks! They actually look very similar to the AW from the '20 ZX7...that cross between a ZX7 and Z-Forged.

I really liked the performance of my previous ZX7 AW, but was never a big fan of them not matching the rest of the set esthetically.

I’m with you. There is such a gap in feel from forged 50 degree wedges and cast. I’m going to try the Wilson staff forged 50 as a gap. They look and feel good

For sure. I’ve ended up with Vokey SM9’s in 48-54-60.

Didn’t want to be a Vokey guy because so many Pros and people use them, but they feel absolutely fantastic and the control with them is awesome, so that’s the most important thing at the end of the day.

They have a nice selection of grinds and nice performance, but they don’t feel good. They feel like a cast wedge.

Interesting. Well, they’re the best feeling wedges I’ve owned so far.

Different strokes for different folks though…everyone’s entitled to their own opinions.
