I mean I see what you guys see, but every chrome shaft is going to look blue outside as you're looking at a mirror essentially reflecting the sky

Finally! They made the Project X Wedge shaft! I've been saying for years they should consider this for all the PX players. I guess the guys at TT read GolfWRX. 😁

 

Curious to hear about the profile, hoping it's about the same just softer overall. Or maybe just softer in the tip for a little more spin.

Much needed addition to PX shafts. Was always what I hated most about when I played PX 6.5s having to go up 7g in shaft weight for my wedges playing s400s. Kind of wish I had 6.5s again now that they have these coming out.

Funny I saw some of these on eBay earlier this year.. thought they may be fake but maybe someone had some early items.. now I may have to try these after all.

The TT guy Keenan said on Instagram that the corresponding PX wedge shafts are the exact same weight but play about a flex softer. Sounds great.

SO it is an 8 iron shaft the the DG Spinner is?

Never really bothered me going down a half flex and 5 grams lighter for my wedge shafts in standard PX steel. Not unprecedented either, since Spieth and Rory do the same thing. I usually play Vokey wedges which swingweight heavy and makes up for the lighter weight shaft (for me). I could see this being a nice replacement for the guys currently playing S400 in their wedges and PX in the irons.

Yeah that is my debate now. Have toyed with the idea of 6.5 wedge shafts or 7.0 PW to play as “spinner.” For now, just got trusty S400.

This is really cool.  I've always wanted to see an AMT Project X product, and I feel the process applied for this wedge shaft could be applied to yield an AMT Project X shaft.

Yep that's the idea. Same weight but about 10 CPM or 1 flex softer according to True Temper.

No not quite. They are a new design at wedge length. When you use 8-iron shafts you're using a longer shaft and then cutting it to wedge length which means you'll lose some weight compared to a wedge shaft. Can't remember exactly but it's something like if you use PX 6.5 8-iron shaft (125 grams) and cut it down you end up with something the equivalent of like 121-122 grams. Also the bend point is going to be just slightly different compared to a wedge shaft. 

 

Not a huge difference but still slightly different.
