According to a TPT rep I’ve met with on Friday, this shaft is part of their next « Gold » line that will launch soon and will be at a (way) higher price point than the Red line. Somewhere in the 900$ range.

I might be able to hit some balls with a Gold prototype this week, will share some pics and thoughts.

So, I went back today, here's what I can say :

 

- Gold range will be 600$

- Driver only, at least at launch

- should look exactly like the JD proto pictured above, with the yellow decals. Saw it in person today. 

- Red range will get an updated look, with the same decals, but obviously in red. Shaft tech stays the same, only a cosmetic change so that their shafts are more easily recognizable on TV.

- Got to hit a Gold 17Hi and 16Hi prototypes without the decals. Short story, Gold is lighter and more stable than Red. I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it "feels" like a super premium product when hit. Maybe it has something to do with the way it sounds, which isn't exactly like a Red. I will get to hit a Gold 16Lo next week.

- Release should happen next february

TPT was always a premium pricetag. A lot of fitters didn't even carry it because the price tag was higher than people would be willing to pay even if fitted into it.

Red range is more affordable now. 290 hybrids, 350 fairway, 380 driver. Prices include adapter and grip. By their own admission they lowered the price to "compete directly with Ventus".

I think they have a fantastic product that performs as good or better than all the big boys, and I really dig the way they approach flexes, weights, profiles. Takes a good minute to make sense of it but it's pretty clever if you ask me.
