Online Fitting Tool Question

I used the online fitting tool and the result was a 36” putter. Is that normal? I typically play 34.” 36” seems very long, I think ~10% of tour plays fit into that length. Do I trust the online fitting tool?

I used the Seemore self fitting tool on their website. The tool considers height, knuckle to floor, posture etc. 

 

This was an online tool, not a fitting. The tool produced an extreme outlier. I bet the result is pushing 2-3 standard deviations. 
 

Do we think the tool is accurate?

Oh sorry i thought it was an online fitting. I've never used that tool. I'm 6'4 with ~29 3/4 K2F and I play a 35.75" putter

Any online fitting tool or anything like that take it as a guide not gospel when human interaction isn't involved.

 

It's more helpful than nothing but they'll also give what they think is best for you even if you think it's wrong.

@CactusJack Did you measure yourself or did you have some else measure you? Also how tall are you and were you fitted for your golf clubs?  Thanks and happy to help.

My wife measured me, and in my golf shoes stand just under 6’2”. I assumed I should wear shoes, was that correct? 
 

Yes, my clubs are fitted. I play standard length gear. I’ve had putters fit on SAM and Quintic too and based on eye position consistently get fit into 34”. However, my back aches during practice sessions so maybe going with a longer putter makes sense.

Thanks for sending back the information.  Can we ask one last crazy question?  Do you know your sport coat size?  Also do you like your eyes just inside the ball at the heel of the putter or do you like your eyes over the top of the golf ball.  We advocate at the heel but if you feel more comfortable over the ball this is fine as well.  This will help.  Thanks for your time.

My sport coat size is a 42 regular...slim fit I might add 🙂 . I do like my eyes just inside the ball at the heel. I find I can see my line much better than directly over the top.

We ask about your coat size because tall people have long arms, tall people have short arms and goes the same with short people.  This helps us out better. Consider doing two things - order putter at 36" and we are happy to send an extra grip in case you need to cut down 1/2 inch (if you think it is too long after playing with it for a few rounds or order the putter at 35.5".  More than happy to help with anything.  When ready send us a note and ask for Brandon at [email protected].  Thanks for reaching out.
