Want to join club in Naples as a very young member

Hello all, I have just relocated from Chicago to naples. I have been traveling here since I was very young and finally made the full jump with my soon to be fiancée. I am looking to join a country club in the mid tier range where I can play very often. I am 22 years old(yes I know I will be the youngest by 40 years at most clubs) but have been playing with an older group of guys since I started golfing a couple years ago. It’s my understanding that most clubs do not have junior rates down here and have waiting lists as well. I have heard that hideout is amazing and a great spot to really enjoy golf (I love to get in on games and play with a variety of different people) . The only thing I would be worried about is bringing customers who are not great golfers out there as it says they recommend you are under a 15 handicap to enjoy the course(at least it says that on their website). I also saw in another thread here that it’s now 75 to join with a waiting list. I really would love to be under 50k but would consider the investment worth it if the club was fantastic. The last thing I would like to mention is that I am looking for a club with a great member base. I don’t want to be at a club where it’s all 1 member bringing 3 guests out and 75% of the members go home for the summer. It’s a big ask and maybe not realistic, but I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

thanks!

Garett

HIdeout has a 5-6 year waiting list unless you know the owner, Moe. Also, it's $100K to join. Ask me how I know.

But seriously, Naples is NOT the place for junior membership. Also, all of the decent places have at least 3-4 years waiting lists. People in Naples have too much money and there's simply way more demand then there is supply. Your best bet is to look at places in Estero or Bonita but even there, the best places are full. Unfortunately, unless you know someone and are willing to spend $100k+ on initiation, your SOL. Just telling you how it is.

nothing guaranteed yet, but I’m working on a connection. I hate to be this guy, but if you are a member, would you consider sponsoring me to get on the waitlist? I am a member at the strand now which is actually a decent course since it was bought, so I am not Immediately needing to join a club and could wait some years. 100k isn’t really a problem even though it is slightly higher than I was wanting to spend. My uncle is at Calusa and hole in the wall and my buddies are at Tiburon and Naples grande so I am able to get around pretty decent for the time being. As my company grows down here, I want a place to take clients and really grow and make some great friends(even if they’re 40 years older lol). I know it’s not the most enticing offer when you’re a member at hideout, but I would love to have you over at the strand for a round if you’d like.

Your uncle should be all the connection you need if he’s at Calusa and Hole in the Wall. Two pretty exclusive clubs.

Plenty of connections but unfortunately nothing solid at hideout. I would obviously love to join Calusa but cannot afford it. Hole in the wall same deal. I am hopefully getting connected to someone at hideout in the next couple weeks through a mutual friend so I guess there’s a little bit of hope haha

Not sure of the waitlist or not, but Quail Creek CC has 36 holes in North Naples with a great group of guys with games most days.  Mix of some guys in their 30's/40's with 50+.  Not the most amazing courses but conditions are usually very good.  I think it is around $60k initiation but not sure if that has changed.
