I have no idea why he would change putters. He changed to the Newport 2 (type) at the beginning of the season and had a career year. If the putting is off right now, it is obviously his confidence, etc. not the putter.

How long should he put up with bad putting before looking to switch, if not now? Interesting argument I can see both sides of it

His putting was pretty poor for his standards the past few months especially at the Presidents Cup.
He looked very frustrated on the greens. I know the feeling very well!

Homa has putted well with the 5.5.  Spieth tried it for one tournament I believe.

Wish we could get stampings like that from the custom shop. Only option I see is initials and they are not even in the same place on the putter as these. 
 

Scottie has been struggling on the short ones lately it seemed so it will be interesting to see how long this one stays in the bag.

Probably a tour only option.

 

Now, you probably can just fill in the grooves in the flange with white paint at your desired spacing. I'll have to look on my x5.5 tonight.
