Door County (Wisconsin) Golf Recommendations

I am going to be in Door County this weekend and am looking to play a round somewhere Sunday before heading home. Anyone have any recommendations? Looks like Penninsula, Egg Harbor, and Horseshoe Bay are the general recommendations. If anyone could help me get out on Horseshoe Bay - that would be much appreciated.

Headed up there tomorrow but not bringing the clubs. I'll be interested to hear where you end up choosing and how it is. We have a free place to stay and will be bringing the dog so likely more hiking and catching what is left of the leaves this trip.

I have played the Orchards at Egg Harbor and would highly recommend it. It is challenging as it starts off with some narrow holes. Conditions of the course were real good despite the back 9 turning into massive wind gusts with 40 degree temps. The cherry trees on the left side of one of the fairways was a nice touch. I am heading up there in a few weeks but will likely be too cold to play; otherwise I would definitely hit this course again.

My dad played the Alpine Golf Course on the same trip and he loved it. There were alot of elevation changes but this is probably a step down in conditioning from Orchards.

Decided to play IdleWild in Sturgeon Bay. Will report back with thoughts.

Would have played Orchards but the back 9 is closed Sunday for a disc golf tournament. IdleWild looks to be a more interesting / challenging course anyways.

Drove by Orchards on Saturday and it looked pretty interesting. Open on one side of the road and looked like it tightened up on the other side.

It's a mix. Trees on most of the outer boundary with a few groves on the inner portion. I don't think any one hole is completely lined with trees, although the portions that are do give a visually more demanding and tight look. Fun course.
