Is the 2x trade bonus not in effect anymore? If I contact them will they do it?

Edit: thinking I saw that incorrectly. Was this just for new paradym?

New only, not these CPO items.

So even with the 20% off right now which is somehow working on the new Paradym items on the CPO site, the 2X promo is still a much better deal.

With an upgraded +$125 shaft on the Paradym at full price after 2X trade I'm paying like $40-80 per club for two fairway woods, but with a regular trade-in pricing with CPO I would be paying $150+ and without the exact specs or shaft I want.

So I'm buying a Callaway driver head from a guy on FB marketplace and he wanted to speak on the phone before we completed the deal. Dude was one of those club obsessed people who also loves to talk and he went on and on about all kinds of stuff after we'd agreed that I'd send him payment.

He works with another guy like Cole out at CPO, I think the name was Bryan, and he was told that sales are down 25% or so from this time last year so they're liable to be rolling out more deals to try and move inventory and juice up the numbers.

Take it for what it's worth, maybe nothing at all, but interesting either way.

Snagged an 8* Paradym TD off CPO this morning, with a ventus blue TR.  Excited to try it out, been thinking about going down in loft to see how that plays.  I hit the ball really high naturally so pretty curious.  I tried the Epic Speed TD and it was decent but have been in a Stealth plus for the last year plus....we shall see!

Well, they got me. I scooped a G430 hybrid for a good price & wound up adding on a set of i230s in my specs that were under $600.... Not even sure if I'll keep them, but for that price I figured I'd give them a shot lol

What's the consensus on the Paradigm at Callaway golf pre-owned. Decent deal with the 20% off or no?

Its a good deal if you feel it is? Did you compare to used or ebay pricing?

Picked up a Milled Collection RSX #2 in Outlet condition. Excited for it to arrive. Hoping it is one of the naked, potentially tour issue examples that people were talking about HERE a couple years ago. We shall see.

Not a "preowned" post but I had to share because I feel like such a dirty whore... 🙂

I mentioned earlier that I have a Paradym Triple Diamond head arriving tomorrow. After a Trackman session today with my 9* Rogue Max it was pretty obvious that I need more launch. I started regretting having ordered a 9* TD instead of waiting to find a 10.5* TD head.

I went to the main Callaway site and started playing around with different trade options. They were offering 2x$250 trade value for a Paradym TD driver so I could get into a 10.5* pretty easily with $100 plus tax OOP.

Being a dedicated club trader I sure didn't want to leave any meat on the bone! I started thinking of strategies to maximize the $500 available bonus trade value.

I've not been loving my Epic Super Hybrid lately and the trade in value on it was 2x$140. I added a Paradym X hybrid to the cart and I was now at a net $160+tax. Had to work that down too.

I found a Steelhead XR FW (2x$40) and a beat Cleveland RTX4 wedge (2x$35) and got my net cost down to $10. With a golf trip coming up in 3 weeks I went ahead and splurged on next-day shipping.

So, inbound:

- Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5 on my favorite shaft

- Paradym X 4 hybrid on my preferred shaft

Outbound:

- Paradym TD 9* on a shaft I have laying about

- Epic Super Hybrid 4h

- Steelhead 4+

- RTX4 wedge

If I was picking nits I'd complain that Callaway collects sales tax on the full purchase price of the new merchandise when they probably only owe sales tax on the difference between the retail and trade values. But doubling up the trade-in credit is very big.

Has anyone had unusual cc activity since the cpo data breech?  The email I got from cpo said that they only kept the last 4 of the credit card so it wasn't that serious.  I've since found out that the first 6 digits are standard numbers and guessing at the two others isn't too difficult.

I ask this because I recently had fraud on the credit card that was on file with cpo.  I'm not saying their data breech is where it came from but I am saying look at your statements closely.

The fraud charges on mine added up to only a little over $200 in multiple transactions.  It would be easy to overlook, especially if a person kept a large balance or didn't pay attention to the charges on their monthly account statement.

The purpose of this post is to advise people who were notified of the cpo data breech to be vigilant.

Who knows.  But credit card have 16 numbers, so they would be guessing at 6 numbers even if they knew the first 6 and last 4.  They also typically need to know the security code and zip code for online transactions.

So it could have been, but I have had CC fraud probably half a dozen times in the past 10 years, and almost never can really pinpoint any breach or where it may have come from.  The one exception may have been the massive Target breach about 10(?) years ago... pretty sure that one directly led to a fraudulent charge.

I have no idea where it came from but I do know that it would be wise for anyone involved to check their statements for irregular charges.

That's the only reason I posted, to give a heads up to anyone who got the email from cpo to pay attention to their statements.  Trying to do the right thing here...

If you make a habit of shopping online there's a high probability that your card number is out there. It's almost unavoidable.

I make a habit of requesting a new card and number from my issuer every year or two. It's a hassle but I feel better.

Some people recommend having a specific card or account that you use only for online transactions. The idea is that fraudulent charges might be easier to spot when there's limited activity on a specific card.

My Capital One card sends me a notification every single time it’s used/there’s a charge. Not sure if that’s an option with all credit card companies but I’d consider looking into it.
