Custom Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2

Work was done by company based in San Diego, O’ Hare Milling. Highly recommend you send your putter there. 

 

My wife’s initials stamped on the heel, my son’s initials stamped on the toe, and my dog’s stamped on the face. 

The shaft is now gloss black. Pained the entire putter head a nice satin black. Gloss black sight lines. White paintfill on the neck. Silver paintfill on the initials. Cavity dots descending from black, to silver, to white. Same descending paint in the logos, on the sole.

 

A deep milling pattern on the face was done. Lastly, a spot weld on the face where “Scotty Cameron” was and a translucent black tour dot was put in its place.

Pictures don’t really do it justice. The paintfill is totally fine. Idk if I was shaking trying to take the pictures. But in the “SPECIAL”, not too sure why the paint looks like that. Trust me, does not look like that in person. Very satisfied.

What kind of paint for the head and shaft?

 

Edit: Looked at thier website, looks like Ceracoate.  Thanks. Maybe looking for someone to rework a TM spider.

It is not great in the posted pictures which seems off for the company. I have been keeping an eye on their putters for a while now and all the ones I have looked at have had what appears to be very nice, clean paint fill. 

 

@MD_AMAYAO would love if you have a chance to snap a few more shots of the putter to update us with some different ones.

Yeah the Silver paint in the sole reflects funny in the picture and it permeates. So I get why it would look off. But it is not off by any means. 
 

In person and through video, it is similar to the high quality work he does on his website and Instagram.

Cold day at the range. And windy. Any motion would make the silver paintfill specifically look sloppy. You can tell from the videos just how cold and windy it was. I remember shivering just trying to take the pictures.

thanks for sharing! love the family personalization.  i'm also considering sending a piece to o'hare.  curious, did you notice any difference in feel after the cerakote?

As far as feel, it did feel just a tad softer, but I would attribute that to the mill on the face.

thanks! thats good to hear, I was afraid of it getting "clickier" with a finish on the face but sounds like the mill is doing its job.  have definitely noticed a relationship between mill vs. sound vs. feel
