Most accurate Launch Monitor under $2k for Swing Speed?

I wonder how the SC-300i vs PRGR vs Garmin R-10 stack up for swing speed?

It seems like the PRGR works great for some and not others?

i don't think you need a $2k launch monitor to get swing speed.

 

use a swing speed radar of your choice and use that as a baseline... then you can rent a session on trackman or something to see how off your radar is... then calculate from there?

 

i use the blue swing speed radar (~$100) from sports sensors when doing speed work... while not super accurate it gives consistent enough readings... I know it reads ~5MPH faster than the trackman I have been on

I have the Red Swing Speed Radar and also buy a membership at PGA Tour Superstore.  The radar unit is about 3-5mph higher than the Foresight and Trackman units.  The cheap radar units are good enough for scaling your swing speeds and monitoring your progress.  I went from 99mph to an average of 105-107 with a little training.  I can hit about 110 when going after it (113mph on the radar unit).  They're a cheap useful tool.  The guy who sells them is super nice and helpful - I would recommend that route.

The "Red" unit I reference above is similar to the Blue Sports Sensors unit mentioned by the previous poster.  The red unit does tempo and swing speed, or just swing speed depending on how you want to run it.

The tempo isn't the most reliable reading for me, so go with the Blue if you are on a tight budget and just need swing MPH.  The feel of the shaft in regard to tempo is more critical than the tempo data IMO.

I have both PRGR and sc300i, along with a GCQ. I can do a test in the next period of time and check them all out. 
 

Though I wonder if having the PRGR and VC device next to each other would cause problems with reads…
