Wth was Wadkins talking about Goydos?

On the old dudes broadcast, Wadkins was talking about Paul Goydos being one of ten children and that both his parents worked on a lobster boat in Massachusetts. Isn't Goydos from California, and doesn't he only have two siblings?🤔

More importantly on the “old dudes” broadcast Bernhardt Langer shot a 63 at 65years old to take a one stroke lead over Paul Goydos into tomorrows final round at the PGA Tour Champions Timbertech Tournament.

Bernhard.... What a golfing machine. Father time may be undefeated but at this point in time Bernhard is saying hold my beer! Again.

 

Same as Couples a few weeks back with his 60.. Just tremendous play from the 60+ guys. Would love to have that skill level for just one round.

Goydos was born and raised in Long Beach, California and is the youngest of three brothers. He began golfing at a very young age, winning his local course championship while still in junior high school. He attended Woodrow Wilson Classical High School, and went on to attend Long Beach State University on a golf scholarship. He graduated with a BA in finance and worked for a short time as a substitute teacher at an inner city high school. He turned pro in 1989 and started out as a struggling mini-tour player, supplementing his income by continuing to work as a substitute teacher.

I would describe him a bit differently: Really nice guy to play with. Insightful. Very high golf IQ. And funny in his own way.

 

One of those guys where, if you are a legit plus handicapper, you always feel like you have a chance to beat him on any given day. But then you realize that over four days you have almost no chance to beat him.
