How long to wait on seller to ship?

Bought a club here two weeks ago.  Never got tracking. Followed up a few days ago and seller gave me a tracking number and said he shipped before leaving town.  The tracking number only shows a label printed and no receipt of the item at USPS.  Two weeks since I paid.  What should I do?

1. Open a claim with PayPal (assuming you covered yourself and paid goods and services)

2. Post the sellers names in thread

3. stand by for hostile replies from seller about not being on here 24 hours a day in this thread and wait for excuses such as, and not limited to: blaming girlfriend for shipping issues and/or claims of being hospitalized 

 

2 weeks is too long.

Sometimes labels don't scan properly but end up getting delivered.

Printed October 28.   I’m first asking for a refund and if no cooperation I will post his name and pursue PayPal (I did include coverage).  Thanks.

Forget contacting the seller at this point, go straight to the paypal claim. Scammers will string you along until you cant file a claim anymore.

If I pay on a Thursday I expect Monday latest unless otherwise stated/arranged. Monday I'd expect Friday latest.

PLEASE, at the very minimum, leave feedback on the sellers page so that people who don't frequent this thread can know what they're getting into.

I ship the same day if at all possible; next day if same day is not possible.  I do this as this is the turnaround time I'd like to receive as a buyer, but it's not what I expect on average.  I'd say 2 or 3 days is reasonable, anything longer than that is lame.  2 weeks is definitely time to go straight to a paypal claim.

It's been almost 10 business days since the seller claimed to have shipped the club? Unless this is shipping internationally that is more than enough time for USPS to deliver it even with the problems they've had. I ordered something last weekend (11/5) that shipped USPS regular ground shipping and it was delivered to me today (11/9). And it came from halfway across the country...

 

It doesn't seem like this person has any intention of sending you what you bought so I'm not sure why you are still so hesitant to file a PayPal claim.

Does it amaze anyone else here how often people are selling clubs and ship them immediately before they go out of town or claim that they will ship them immediately after they are going out of town? I understand there are many affluent people on this forum, but there is an amazing amount of travel taking place at the most inconvenient time to be shipping items that they clearly wanted to sell. Love how they want to get paid in a timely fashion, but their travel plans are reason enough to leave an item unshipped for multiple days and/or weeks.

This. Posting the name doesn’t mean getting out the pitchforks. Seller should also be tagged/invited to respond.
 

In no way would I expect it here but we’ve seen plenty of threads where an OP ended up looking like the “bad guy”.

In no defense of the seller but I have been told that USPS is now showing label's printed but wont show any other tracking info until the package actually delivers. It has happened to me three times in the last month. USPS claims that they are so backlogged and busy they dont "waste" the time with updating along the way. 

 

Now this could or could not be the case. At any rate to be safe as others have mentioned file  PP claim. 

 

When I sell I ship same day or next business day at the latest as normal business practices

Agree.  I’m actively working with the mods on this and just a short time ago a PayPal pending refund from the seller was received.

I mean, taking two weeks to ship something out does indeed qualify as a "bad guy" as far as doing business in the BST is concerned.......

Exactly. Usually in my reply when they ask for PayPal I tell them. I will ship the next business day at lunch time.   If it’s going to be longer than that o let them know before payment.   I’m fortunate to work very near a UPS store and I  seem to always have an abundance of coin boxes in my office 😬.  So there’s really no excuse not to. 
 

As a buyer, I’m generally fine with whatever timeframe the seller says they can ship.  It’s almost always within 3 days, which I think is totally acceptable. 
 

two weeks is not under any circumstances.

Seller has 6 pages of nothing but positive feedback. 
 

@Jeri6gthas he responded to mods? I guess anyone can go bad but this one’s odd. Long time member with pages of positives then he goes bad on an $80 wedge?  Possible of course but also possible there’s more going on here.

Hiya I have no idea I just saw the post in the dispute section.  I am truly confused to as he definitely is a long time member with nothing but positive results.
