-Said he would never go to LIV even if they paid him 10 mil per tournament or something stupid like that.

 

-Said Phil was going in Solo on the LIV and all about Phil. None of the rumored players backed Phil. 

 

Shortly after Pat joined LIV and did a 180 when he was such a hypocritical loudmouth on the pod. He couldn't have been more wrong about everything he said on the Pod.

Pat said it would take a guaranteed 5 years of 20 mil per tournament for him to go. He also said Phil was full of s*** that his statement about the LIV would make PGA tour players more money too. He also said the LIV was never going to get off the ground.

Alan Shipnuck sheds a little more light on the Perez/Mickelson dust up in his latest FirePitCollective email....."Well, it ain't about money.  In the course of reporting my book on Mickelson I kept hearing of his rift with Perez, a fellow San Diego native.  They have a lot of history. Perez has always fancied himself a Tiger guy, which means he has never been warm and cuddly toward Phil.  But what inspired Perez to spout off on various podcasts lately was Mickelson doing something that deeply offended Perez and his wife Ashley.  I approached Pat a couple of times to see if he'd go on-record but he declined. I had a handful of players and caddies tell me they heard of the incident directly from Perez but the details are so inflammatory that I didn't feel comfortable putting the story in the book without direct confirmation. The whole situation is still clearly festering with Perez so we'll see if he chooses to make the details public; if so, that will certainly set of a firestorm."

Pat's wife is a trainwreck. I guess that is what you get with an adult dancer. It comes with the territory. Follow her on any social media after she has been consuming booze and other substances all day if you don't understand what she is like. 

 

The more I think about it I wonder if Pat didn't get initial invite to LIV because Phil said something to the effect of his wife is a huge trainwreck and liability.

I'm not a user of social media, so my search skills are non-existent. Nonetheless, I had a go, and somehow ended up on Steve Elkington's Instagram page. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that he's evidently given up golf for a career as a Jimmy Durante tribute act...

I had assumed the person with Perez (if that is Perez) was his wife or something; whoever it is to try to put it politely is not my type.  Maybe it is a random non-cis-gender individual.  I don’t want to know.

Someone already did. Supposedly Phil sent a nude pic to Pat’s wife years ago. Phil has since apologized, but Pat isn’t forgiving him. Shipnuck discussed this on the recent Firepit podcast. I guess it was an open secret on Tour.
