RSM Classic 2022

The final official event of 2022 is upon us. Some 11 months after the first official event of 2022 with rarely a break in schedule my stamina and interest in keeping up with events has definitely waned and I am sure that I am not the only one. We have four rounds to go before some more hit and giggle events to round out the year. For the second straight week the defending champion is a LIV defector and will not be present. The quality of the field is such that it should present a good opportunity for one of the more unheralded players to claim a win and get a little head start before 2023.

I love St. Simons, especially in the fall. My wife & I try to go there for a weekend or two each fall/winter, we were there weekend before last. Still warm enough to wear shorts & walk on the beach although probably too cool to swim. Not too crowded after Labor Day most of the time (other than GA/FL weekend). There's not a lot of stuff to DO but it's a great place to BE if that makes sense. My son lives in Nashville (& loves it for the most part) but gets tired of the nonstop touristy stuff that you can't escape if you're anywhere near downtown. St. Simons is sort of the opposite.

Wife and I have stayed there a half dozen times, it is a pretty incredible spot. Love the look of the new bunkering/redo on the Plantation course. Having played there so many times, this is by far my favorite watch.

Is there any way to tell which players played which course today?

I noticed that Brian Harman scored better than power today but is no longer the betting favorite.

I want to make the assumption that he played the easier course and power played the harder one.

Usually par 72s are easier than par 70s because of the additional par 5s.  It isn't necessarily that way, but usually and in this case it seems to be.

Given 15 out of the top 20 were from that course, yes I would say so. Final two rounds are also played on the Sea Side course

Morning’s gonna start early to catch the end of the DP Tournament with my coffee.  Rolls right on into the RSM for lunch and a rehash of the Senior event after.  Life is good.

What senior event? They were done last week. Looks like a replay of the RSM (5pm EST) and then the LPGA event at 8pm.

Woke up early because there were a couple Canucks in the hunt and wasn't disappointed for a change.

Unfortunately I picked Power and Dahmen, and they missed too many putts. Credit to Svensson, he gave himself a lot of chances and sunk them. One long one to start off the back that was a real bonus.

Played cards last night and got sucked out on by a 4pct runner runner. What a weekend!
