Pretty amazing performance by Lydia..   Key is consistency, which she's shown 1st and 2nd round.. Hopefully, she keeps it up..

Agreed. She plays more practical shots than Seve.  He had a flair for the impossible.   Lydia hits the most straightforward shot, but does it exquisitely and so, so consistently. Best player at playing within her capabilities since Annika.

She still has two rounds to make one in order to stay on her average of 1 eagle per tournament.

Mid-season it was only Lydia's driving holding her back. She'd be playing great, then she'd do that once-per-round horror snap hook off the tee - often leading to desperate scrambling, which even for Lydia sometimes failed. Then after the snap hook there'd be a succession of weak, block fades. That was the difference. I thought back then that if she gets rid of the one horror drive per round then she dominates. Ironically, in one of her first rounds where she totally straightened out the driver she didn't make a putt! Can you remember what tournament that was? It was a final round where she totally failed to fire. Anyway, I have been predicting - she will get the Rolex No. 1!

Noticed that Gerina was on Golf Channel or in the booth for awhile this tournament. Is she transitioning away from being a tour player? I know she finished outside the Top 100 and curious about the future for her. Wonder why her play really fell off?

I don't know the answer to that. She's from Kettering, a solidly middle class market town and was home schooled from 13. So far from working class. She married a martial arts fighter, which isn't your usual posh. And her mum's family are Polish, which isn't posh unless you're from Polish aristocracy. Reputedly she's a party girl, so hangs out with money. Jury's out really.

She looks posh on Instagram. The elegant or stylish luxurious definition.

It's really sad to see top players struggling - Ariya, Sung Huyn Park..... Some combination of injury and loss of confidence. Let's hope JYK gets her confidence back when she sorts out her wrist injury. It would be tough to see her fall out of the rankings - such a great player.

Man, Patty T. and Yuko Saso are struggling at the start of the 3rd round. Patty double bogeyed 2 of the first 3 holes and Yuko was 5 over after 5 holes. They are now tied for last at +11 which six shots back of next to last.
