typical Beth Ann leaving out facts from the story.

LPGA was tasked with asking 11 girls to attend the dinner with the carrot that Serena Williams would be speaking. once Serena canceled the 11 players decided not to go (not great). LPGA staff didn’t relay that info to Terry and then Terry tries to acknowledge the 11 players and looks bad and now here we are with the crazy rich guy pissed off.

Some grumbling behind the scenes on how Mollie is handing certain things from players and now this.

Husband met Duffy a couple years back at the Pro Am. He said 'he's definitely the type of guy that wants his ring kissed'. IMO, that's okay! And everyone at the LPGA is aware. For shame. Not sure this incident can be rectified.....is this the beginning of the end of Mollie? Beginning of the end of CME? I realize he's under contract for next year BUT........

I wonder who the 11 were and why they think that when a tennis player as a speaker withdraws that they no longer need to attend to support the sponsor that is paying their prizemoney.

Beggars belief. Some attitude adjustment is urgently needed.

Mollie is in over her head.

When when i glanced at this photo my first thought was that Keith Urban was a former LPGA player.

There is a lot more to the story than what is in that article.  I'm hearing a lot of frustration and grumbling about how this and some other things have been handled by the administration.  I texted with some caddies and one player last night.  Will talk to a few tomorrow.

Don't rush to judgment.  Something else is at play here other than 11 top players deciding to turn their back on the tour's biggest financial sponsor.

pretty cut and dry. 11 players didn’t want to go to some dinner without serena there and LPGA staff and comish botched the relay of that info to Terry and CME. not to mention mollie botching the apology after as well.

Terry is a well know intimidating and intense guy so an over the top reaction is not surprising.

Tour staff has been sending players all week to the CME hospitality tent to attempt to smooth it all over

What has happened to poor Patty T?

5 double bogeys in 39 holes incl 2 in the first 3 holes today.

Just sad, another SH Park?

Hope she sorts it out.

Not sure Patty was ever on the SHP level, at least SHP managed 7 wins before her collapse. Here's another thought, would you even be saying this if Patty hadn't won a major championship? Same thing with Yuka, take away that 1 major win(which is still impressive don't get me wrong) and the expectations are much lower.

Of course anything can happen, but unless Leona and Lydia go into full meltdown mode it's a two player race. Conditions are just too tough for the chasers to make up ground.

Leona's short game is off the charts today. Lydia could easily have a three or four shot lead.

I have a feeling we aren’t the only ones who think Mollie is not doing a great job.

I feel like the players could/should have handled it better but I wonder if it is a way for them to push her out? That said, I can see some of the younger generation not wanting to do outside things or not really understanding all that is required. That is as much a statement on society as the ladies.

Can someone please help the commentary team figure effective distance due to wind?  Just watched the final group play the 158 yard par 3 12th.  Karen was trying to say it would play 165 or 170, but later indicated the wind was solid at 15 mph.  Then you see flag pictures hanging limp.

None of that makes sense.  I can ignore the filling air time babbling, but when it's time to provide real information of value they should try to get it right.

That just got interesting. Leona thins one into the junk, and Lydia luckily carried the PA before going in. Chance to save par.

Anna creeping up...

Hmmm. If a rules official wasn't standing right next to Lydia, I'd call foul on the placement of her ball.

It's a tough week for Nelly, but she endured.

It's important that she retains her #1 ranking today; she'll have a free reign of at least 8 weeks before the tour starts again in 2023.

Congrats to Lydia....putting New Zealand back to the top of the LPGA tour along with Steven Alker on the Champions Tour and Ryan Fox second on the DP World Tour 🙂 @18majors on what metric does Nelly deserve to still be RR world #1 ahead of Lydia.....because she missed tournaments due to surgery? but Lydia is the real #1 female player in the world until the tour starts in 2023 😉
